  Describe Your Spirituality

  most witnesses believe that if you leave the "truth" as taught by jehovah's witnesses, you lose your spirituality.

  i know some here that do not believe in god.

  others are somewhat agnostic.

  Yes Minimus, that's the key for me, SEARCHING.

  I think that if you ever feel you know all about god and spirituality, you have definitely lost the plot.

  God is infinite. Therefore we can not truly know him.

  Where I stand right now, you might put a label on me as a 'New Ager'. I believe in a creator of the universe, I believe we are a kind of experiment, I believe in some way we are either re-incarnated or move on to 'a better place', I believe the SEARCH for enlightenment is the point of life, I believe in mankind as being able to make this world work out, I believe in positivity.

  I dont belive in religious organisations. I dont believe in judging others, I dont believe there is one true path.

  Why Not Just Let It Go?

  i am fairly new to this board, but have been lurking for awhile before i decided to become a registered member.

  i have read many posts old and new and can't help but wonder why many of you just don't let it go?

  some of you have expressed bitterness and disgust over what the wts has done to you.

  Personally I have not been here that long, but I can see why a person would be. Especially if we have loved ones(another JW term) in the org. still. I am here to 'make sure of all things' and I am finding that the longer I am here reading, the more my mind is freed from the trap of belief it was in.

  Do you know belief is not truth?

  Now I can see both sides of the story, I can see why I believed I had the 'Truth', how it was fed to me and I can see a lot of things I still need to learn.

  I also feel a lot better for talking of my past (thanks minimus) and for sometimes 'having a go' at the witnesses. (Like my memorial story).

  So sue me. LOL

  Did You Know Jehovah & Jesus Attend Meetings & Want You To Scrub Floors?

  according to the watchtower of dec. 15, 1985, jehovah and his son attend the meetings at the kingdom hall.

  "how can you show gratitude for what jesus did" is the article that you should review.

  this is what it states:"since jehovah and jesus are present invisibly at these gatherings, grateful christians will not snub them, as the apostates do, but rather do all they reasonably can to attend regularly.

  Are JW kids really better that Christendom's or even the world's?

  i dont mean to put down my cousin but if she and her boyfriend (now husband) have been loyal jws all their lives why is it that he was arrested for cocaine posession, (he was actually trafficking while a jw!!!!

  )she got knocked up by him, and then they got married by a judge instead of an elder.

  do these sound like jw kids or do they sound like the real jw kids that you dont see on the poster or cover of awake.

  I'm disfellowshipped, and I will partake at the Memorial.................

  well, nisan 14 is rolling around again, and i am going to partake at the memorial.. when i was a goodstanding jw last year, i really thought of the relationship i had with the christ, and partook, and they all had a cow.

  but i had a good standing, so they pretty much left me alone.... well, surprise!!

  i am now disfellowshipped, and some inner voice tells me to go back there one last time and partake, i am not doing this to be a pain, but to show the new congregation that i had belonged to, who i am, and to give others the courage to examine themselves, and their personal relationship with the christ.. i believe disfellowshipping is unscriptural, so i am confidant!!
