LiquidSky
ok..i admit it, i've done a very bad thing.
i found this site about a week ago and have been reading like a mad-woman.
even posted to a couple of threads.
Hello & Welcome!!
have you ever won anything in your life?
i didn't, but indirectly i did.
back in 1982 my mother won a brand new honda civic.
hey folks - what's the newest 'light' on attending babdy showers when the couple isn't married and having a baby out of wedlock?
i know, years ago, most j dubs wouldn't go or support the event.
i ask b/c my brother's mate is having a baby shower and he told me that my mother and sisters (all dubs) are coming.
My brother and his girlfriend are expecting a child in August. My brother was never babtised, and his girlfreind was never a JW. I asked my sister if there were any plans for a baby shower and she said they were hoping I would plan the shower and hold it at my house since they "as true christians, cannot in good consience plan a shower for a couple out of wedlock". She said since I am no longer in good standing with the congregation, I can get away with having the baby shower, and they would attend if I invited them.
.
i got this in an e-mail.
i have no idea who it is.
Am I the only one who thinks the guy looks sexy?
our niece, irene, who posts here as inky, sent me an email.
her 27 year old son is getting married in two weeks, and she posted a few days ago about how he didn't invite her to his wedding.. she told me i can post it as she doesn't want to read it again.. "dear mom.
i've needed to write this letter to you for some time now.
(((((((Inky)))))))
What a heartbreaking letter. I am so sorry.
years ago, families were huge.
it wasn't rare to see families of 9 or 10 children.
today things are so different.
I don't have any, and I don't want any.
as ex-dubs we are free to read whatever the hell we want to read.
in celebration of that fact (and to give me some ideas on what to read next .

how did you find this site?
did you make a search in google for jw's, or did someone tell you about this forum?.
how did you end up here?
I typed "Jehovah's Witnesses" in the search engine, and this was the first site that came up.
