As Ex-Dubs we are free to read whatever the hell we want to read.
In celebration of that fact (and to give me some ideas on what to read next ) - what are you reading right now? What books would you recommend?

Ive mentioned these in other threads but:
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Illusions, The adventures of a reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach
Jonathon Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach
Earth Bound by Clif Sanderson, whimsical but cool.
Night of the Wolf by Alice Borchardt
Here's an excerp from the last one:
" The grey wolf found himself drawn into human shape by the powerfull magic hanging over the grove. Every hair on his body had stood up like a cats. Then, as though drenched with icy water, he was a man, the spring night air cold against his skin. He gasped, shivered all over as the canine in him tried to shake off what felt to it like a waterfall of ice. He stood shivering violently, his eyes fixed on the women.
The priestess who had been watching the moonrise shouted something to the group guarding the girls."
Good story that, about the druids, Rome and the Gallic tribes, by turns a thriller, tragedy, horror and love story.
Soul Murder by Leonard Shengold
Idiot's Guide to getting published
The newspaper. When I was an elder, I didn't even have time for that.
Also, reading Made In England, a book about the career of the guy in my avatar.
Read Summer of the Gods recently - a book about the Scopes "monkey trial" of 1925.
I am not currently reading them, but I thoroughly enjoyed
Behind the Scenes at the Museum
Human Croquet
Emotionally Weird
all by Kate Atkinson
Anything by Margaret Atwood is also a good bet, IMNSHO. I don't mean a book titled Anything, I mean anything she has written.
Just about anything from Dean Koontz.
I am still reading "War and Peace" by Tolstoy. Good book.

Sheila is making me read Little Women. I've been at it for about 3 weeks now and have read 13 pages. It puts me to sleep!
