A woman!!!!!!!!
by Gill ini was speaking to my mother and was informed by her that in their congregation, in the leicester area, a woman does all the accounting and paperwork now.
this is a congregation with 6 elders and 7 mss.. is this normal, that a woman has to do the secretarial work?
what's the point of having a congregation secretary then?.

A secretary can be a man or a woman.
True. But not in a JW congregation. At least I've never heard of a woman being the congregation secretary. Those responsibilties always went to the ministerial servents or elders.

I met the love of my life in my freshmen year of Highschool. I was j-dub and he was punk rocker. It was love at first sight. Of course I told him I we couldn't date unless he was a babtized witness although I really wanted too. Plus my j-dub parents would make it impossible for me to see him outside of school. We stayed best freinds untill he graduated, and then we didn't see eachother for 2 years. One day we bumped into eachother at the mall and we were so happy to finally see eachother again. We dated secretly for another year, and then we decided to get married. My parents were shocked, and devestated that I was marrying and "unbeliever". They tried to convice me to not marry him, and told me it would never work with out jehovahs blessing. Well we married 3 weeks later, and have been happily married for 9 years.

Sorry Princess! Didn't mean to generalize.
I don't have anything against suv's or big trucks. I just hate it when the roads are icy and slippery and I have some dumbass in an monster truck (or any car for that matter) who think they're invincible riding my ass.

Yeah I think I'm heading home early today. Washingtonians drive insane when it snows. Especially those who own suv's and large trucks. eek!

What's The Most Scandalous Thing You've Seen Happen In A Congregation?
by minimus inmany years ago i remember suddenly how the bible study servant who was third in command got removed from his position, and was reproved for having a fling with his bible student who was much younger and very married too.
actually, her husband came in the hall while he was substuting as a watchtower conductor and i was reading and screamed all sorts of profanities to him all the while screaming that he was "f***king his wife"!
when the man told him, "i wanna talk to you", the elder said, "not now".

Our dog died. :(
by Mulan inour 15 year old dog died this afternoon..............with assistance from a veterinarian friend of rachel's (princess).
she was old, sick, and with multiple health issues.
it was a really hard decision, but the vet really helped ease my mind, by assuring me it was time.
