onacruse I think you need to check out this web page link. To my known understanding the Jehovah and the Holy Spirit are one. If that's not true then where does it come from? Who does it come from? That's like saying your hand isn't part of your bidy.

UnDisfellowshipped I believe that they are the real deal, Because of the information that they have. Currently there aren't any other religion's in christianity I feel that can explain a lot of the mysteries of the Bible. Such as what happens at death. Other faiths teach that you will be a spirit without a body. But the bible teaches the complete opposite.
As far as hours are concern the bible also states that God is a God of order not disorder.
Undisfellowshipped i don't think that makes you an apostate. But you should really talk to one of your elders about how you feel. They had a VHS tape at the hall called "Doers of God's word" you should check that out.

UnDisfellowshipped I don't believe that Jesus would execute judgement for that one little thing. When John performed his baptism's did he say in the scriptures that he was baptizing in the name of the father, Son and Holy Spirit? Did the scriptures quote any apostles saying these words before or while being baptizing. The only person who made that command was Jesus. He basically was giving a example of what people will be representing when they get baptized. And another thing the bible does say that the Holy Spirit teaches us. The WTS is taught by Jehovah.

onacruse I think you should ask a witness if they believe that God and the Holy Spirit are one and the same.

UnDisfellowshipped, I'm going to try and answer each question one at a time.
You said that (Also, probably the most important issue is the fact that starting in the middle 1980's, the Jehovah's Witnesses stopped Baptizing people "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit", and they started Baptizing people "in the name of the Father, and the name of the Son, and the name of spirit-directed Watchtower Organization".)
I can't deny nor confirm that this is being done in the organization. But what they said makes since. They acknowledged the name of God first, this means that they recognize that Jehovah and the Holy spirit are one and the same. They acknowledged the name of the Christ, then they acknowledged the Organization. I don't see where they broke any laws. We all know that God and the Holy spirit are one and the same right! So separating them could cause people to believe that we support the trinitarian belief that God, Son and the Holy spirirt are one and the same.

This is happening in the world and the organization. People are being separated and could possibly not know it. Or they know it but they are putting up a front. You see we can fool other people and we can sometimes fool ourselves, But we cannot fool Jehovah who can read the heart. I'm still convince that the organization has the truth, But I never belived that everyone in the organization was truthful. A persons aim should be to serve Jehovah with a complete heart.

Preaching the kingdom or what?
by acsot ini was at the meeting on sunday and one brother mentioned how jws are heeding the scripture at matthew 24:14, you know, about the kingdom being preached, and he said how in every corner of the world jws are now found and it's a fulfillment of the scripture.
then the thought struck me that if that were true, then when people think of jws they should think "god's kingdom".
not in my experience, as when going from door to door or what colleagues at work have said.

I feel that the preaching work is good and beneficial not only to the listener but also the presenter. Being out in the ministry helps you to avoid doing thing's that would cause you to commit sin. I feel it keeps your mind focus on doing righteous things instead of clouding your mind with wicked thing's. That's why a lot of people find it hard to do the right thing in this system. Some have too much time on their hands and all they think about are thing's contrary to Jehovah's will. We must not forget about the example that was set for us by the Israelites in the wilderness. They caused Jehovah's heart to become weary, they made him feel pain. Because they kept doing what they wanted to do. Jesus said that these last days will be like the days of Noah. I'm pretty sure that Noah had more help building that ark than his son's. More than likely the other individuals who assisted in the building of the ark felt that too many years went by and nothing happened. Jehovah's time span is different from our time span. Preaching about the kingdom is a good thing that needs to be done. We can't assume that God is taking too long to help us. Remember the hebrews were slaves in egypt for 430 years before Jehovah set them free!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE MUST WAIT ON THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to thank you all for giving me the nice welcome. I really appreciate it!!!!
Anyway I'm on a course of being baptized and serving in the organization. As far as I know the bible does state that if a person who knows what is good and fell to do so it is considered to him a sin and could possibly be deemed the sin against the holy spirit. So I agree with their procedure in making sure that individual has made his personal dedication to Jehovah before getting baptized, instead of getting baptized and bringing reproach upon God's good name. I think that's a problem with a lot of other faiths. If I went to back to my previous faith I would probably be getting baptized this week. They wouldn't know anything about me or if I really am sincere in taking that step. As far as going out in the ministry, I would do it with the utmost joy. I really don't care about the hours aspect. The bible say's that if one wicked person change his course and start doing what is righteous all the heavens rejoice over that one wicked perosn changing. If I could help one person during my whole ministry that would be a blessing to me. I don't really care about how many hours a person has. Some may brag on their hours, but not me. All I want to do is serve with a complete heart. We must also note that the separation of the sheep and the goats is also happening in the oragnization. I will let Jehovah and his son Jesus handle that part.

Jesus Is God (John 1:1)
by JesusISJehovah inaccording to john 1:1, jesus is god.
how do jehovah's witnesses rationalize that blatant statement of jesus' deity?

ScoobySnax, I have to agree with you on your answer. If Jesus was God then why would he pray to himself and sit at the right hand of God. If I were a God why would I sit on the right or the left and not on the throne appointed for me. The one in the middle!!!
