Ah, Saturday mornings

i just love saturday mornings now.

no service, no wearing uncomfortable clothes trapsing through snow, slipping on ice, getting yelled at by people who actually have lives.. this morning, i had my pipe, got a coffee from wawa, and watched some simpsons episodes.. i'm planning on taking a walk through the snow later on.. man, i love saturdays.. ash

I sleep Saturday mornings. I work evenings, so I am up for awhile, even after I get home at around 4 or 5 a.m.

Ashitaka, I gotta ask you about this one:

This morning, I had my pipe, got a coffee from Wawa, and watched some Simpsons episodes.

'got a coffee from Wawa' - dude...for us Canucks, well especially me, the only Wawa I know is a small town on the northeastern shores of Lake Superior. I know they have coffee there, but I know you didn't go to Wawa, Ontario didja?

Well, back to Saturday mornings, um, yeah, sleep in. I go to bed around 6 or 7 a.m. and sleep until 2 or 3 p.m. in the afternoon. Rayzorblade is a nighthawk .

Don't miss the service, don't miss the dressing up in uncomfortable clothes and shoes and having a knotted stomach when I'd work in the door-to-door ministry. On nights off, I even go to bed a bit drunk...so Saturday mornings, sometimes can be my pass-out day.

Canadian Classic Rye & ginger ale...Mmm!

HOCKEY

Just got in...worked the evening shift. I figured there'd be some posts to my Hockey blurb.

I knew it...I knew it...Aztec had to rub it in.....sheesh! But what the heck, eh?

Beans, the blue & white, looks right! Dunno 'bout the Leafs though, it hasn't been good for them. But they always seem to have a few horseshoes up their butts come play-offs.

Aztec, I'm with you re: Avs - grrr! Hey Aztec, you got one of our 'boys' ya know. Cujo (Curtis Joseph) is less than 4 hours down the road. I was disappointed when he left Toronto . But oh well.

Yeah, the Minnesota North Stars, I always loved that name. There's a hockey playin' town there. The Penguins, well they've not done too badly in the last few years. I know that Barnaby was one to contend with, but then again: we have Tie Domi. My friend who passed away in October 2002, was from Pittsburgh, and she and I would give each other the gears when the Pens played the Leafs.

This year: Aztec's team is probably going to do real well, and may win again (one of the original six). Ottawa Senators, are (I think...gotta look again) number 1 in their division.

I am going to try to find that photo I had taken about 2 years ago of me holding the Stanley Cup. Just a photo, and they wouldn't let me take it home .

Anyways, the damn thing is in Aztecville right now: DETROIT so...I may reach 50 before my Leafs win the coveted (a sin) cup. If we can draft BEANS to goalie, we may...may have a chance. 1967 - too long to wait for ol' Rayzorblade.

5 minutes for holding Aztec; 3 minutes for High Sticking pr_capone .

One more thing, and this is an old kids joke, but try this:

***take your fingers, from both hands, place the index finger of your right and your left hand into the corners of your mouth and say in front of others: " get the puck off the ice "

Tell me what happens .

As you know Canucks are absolutely mental as hell about it. The things we have done to ice, are simply inconceivable.

Some Europeans are into it, and we know for sure, Americans are as well, especially in the northern half of the country.

I noticed the Brits on here are goin' on about their 'football' (evil teehee laughter here) - so it's time to start goin' on about hockey.

Favourite team or teams?

Aztec.....I can see your RED hockey jersey from here. She's got braggin' rites right now.

There are a couple of names I do remember that were either living in Halifax/Dartmouth as JWs. Some could be living in other parts of Nova Scotia.

Here are a couple, just in case: Matovka, Kemp, Pottie and Jess.

I have wondered about the first two family names, but of course, I haven't had contact with either in almost 20 years.

i have read through some of the threads, posts or whatever and even though there is a sense of disagreement over witnesses and the society, their way of handling the words of the bible.

i was curious to know if anyone does believe jehovah is his name?

Well...not to be patronizing, but I think the posts and themes/topics and posts generally reflect what kind of forum this is.

Yes, there are some Witnesses here, but those that have question the WTBTS organization and their teachings.

Overall, it's an ex-JW site.

You're welcome to stay. But be prepared to be exposed to 'truths' and personal experiences that you would not hear nor read about at your Kingdom Hall or bible study.

If you are Seeking Truth, please investigate many of the postings on this forum and please keep an open mind. We are by and large, fun-loving yet caring and real human beings. We all stopped digesting everything being said by the WTBTS and began asking questions, and seeking answers to some very important questions.

If you are still reading this. Notice anything? Nothing terrible has happened to you, has it?

I hung out with Prince...

hey guys,.

with all the talk lately about micheal jackson, i wanted talk about prince.. a few months ago, hung out with prince.

i was also planning on going to a public talk meeting with him, but i got into town too late.

Prince has actually been to the bar where I work. I have heard nothing but positive remarks of how nice he is, and what a gentleman he is, when he visited our bar.

His wife, she's from Toronto, and I know they have a home in the NICE part of town.

I'm not surprised to read some of the positive remarks about him. I have seen him, but not met him.

I have, however, sat beside Dennis Leary, and he was great! Had a few beers with him, and he was hilarious, and down-to-earth as well as very easy to talk to. He is as funny as you can imagine .
