My Secret Email Campaign -or- "Dozens Now Living will Now Know"
by joe_from_kokomo inwell, after our baptismal nullification letter, most of the witnesses snub us when we bump into them.
saw a snooty sister from my own book study, and she pretended i was the invisible man.. so, i decided to do a "maverick" and have launched a top secret email campaign to help raise the news iq of my former witness friends and family.. i have created a dummy email account at a major portal and i am bccing all my old witness friends and relatives (mostly relatives) hyperlinks to the juicy news articles on jws and the un, jws and child abuse, etc.
i put a simple subject line and a simple one line "read this article" followed by a hyperlink to the newspaper article.. it has been very effective.

And You JW Wives Thought the Organization Was Too Repressive....Read This !
by xjw_b12 inwe have all read many posts here as to how women felt they had to be submissive in the organization.
how would you like to be a member of first christian fellowship for eternal sovereignty?
ravenna, ohio - a woman pulled over for breast-feeding her baby while driving on the ohio turnpike was shown on videotape at her trial wednesday refusing to cooperate with troopers until she called her husband for permission.. catherine nicole donkers, 29, also would not stand or speak as she defended herself in portage county municipal court until her husband gave her permission from the first row of the audience.. the first day ended with donkers finishing her questioning of the trooper.

Stupid woman. and what the hell was she nursing a 7 month old while driving. How did she do that.
She should be thrown in jail, firstly, for being stupid and secondly, for having to listen and obey her husband. Boy those husband's have it made in that religion, submissive wifes at their beck and call.

Filing for Divorce
by iiz2cool ini got married while i was a jw and have been married for 16 years.
the last 10 years have been totally loveless, and we have merely existed under the same roof, nothing more.
now that i've disassociated myself we have nothing in common at all.

Walter, sorry to here about this. Divorce is never a pretty picture.
I work in Family Law, your inheritance will be excluded from your Net Family Property. But I would suggest separating prior to your mother passing on, it would make things easier, and cheaper in the long run. I have been on too many files where the wife and her lawyer just won't budge on issues of assets, and it's a costly process to finally put a Separation Agreement into place and obtain a divorce.
Our ususal practice is to get the Separation Agreement in placed and signed, property divided, etc. and then one year after separation you can obtain an uncontested divorce without any snags.
If you need any advice you can personal message me.

I am sooooo sorry that you and your son had to go through something so terrible. By writing this letter, I'm sure you find that it is good therapy for yourself.
What upsets me with the jw mindset. Is where do these elders, "the society", get off making themselves out to be their own little community to deal with criminal acts such as this. They are not schooled or trained in legal matters such as this. That was not their place to take your little son into a room. That was a doctor's, police, social worker's, etc. place to do that.
If that was my child, I would have never confronted the elders, I would have went straight to the police, arrested your sister in law, and then when the elders found out, after the fact, well then they could try and clean up the mess that the congreation would have been in after the $hit hit the fan. I know that's how I feel now, but when in the borg, you do as the borg do. Its sad that the elders are put in this type of power. They are just mere men, put on a pedestal, after doing a bunch of brown nosing.
Take care
Love

When I lived in Marquette, Michigan in the mid 70's I remember the elders going to the local prison conducting studies, I believe they even conducted a wedding for one of the inmates that got baptized, If i remember correctly.

Respect your husband because he's the head of the house.
Yeah, right, my first marriage was to an jw arse who loved to go to bars, flirt with women, not come home til the wee hours of the morning, eventually bedded a few women, while I was married to him and I was to be submissive and respectful. Can I throw up now.

by Guest 77 ini read your reply to 'not fitting' and i'm sorry to hear that only one person welcomed you to the board.
you have to forgive some of us because the board moves quickly and trying to read as many posts as possible and make replies is a chore within itself.
anyways, welcome and i think i speak for others.
