Can you even survive drinking all that?
My personal favorite (Before I went dry.) was a York's Peppermint Patty. Ingredients are simple
1 Pack of hot chocolate
1 Cup of water
3 Shots of peppermint shnapps.

Eulogy
So long.
We wish you well.
You told us how you weren't afraid to die.
Well then, so long.
Don't cry.
Or feel too down.
Not all martyrs see divinity.
But at least you tried.Ænema
Some say a comet will fall from the sky.
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still.
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits. Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will cuz
I sure could use a vacation from thisSilly shit, stupid shit...
One great big festering neon distraction,
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied.Learn to swim.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Mom's comin' round to put it back the way it ought to be.Learn to swim.
Fuck L Ron Hubbard and
Fuck all his clones.
Fuck all those gun-toting
Hip gangster wannabes.Judith
you're such an inspiration for ways that i will never ever choose to be
oh so many ways for me to show you how your savior has abandoned you
fuck your god
he did this
took all you had
and left you this way
still you pray
never stray
never taste
of the fruit never thought to question why
it's not like you killed someone
it's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed -

What Motivates You to Expose the "Truth About the Troof" to Active JW's?
by imallgrowedup inwhile responding to another thread, i was thinking about how so many of us talk about trying to help "believing dubs" out from the clutches of the wt, while at the same time, it occurred to me that we probably all have different motivations for doing so.
as for me, i am motivated to get my parents out because i think they have the right to know "the whole story" - not just the candy-coated version the wt espouses, so they can make better decisions about how they want to live the rest of their lives.
right now the wt makes all their life decisions for them - including whether or not they should look at what the "other side" has to say about them.

"The terrorists and their supporters declared war on the United States - and war is what they got. "
"Some critics have said our duties in Iraq must be internationalized. This particular criticism is hard to explain to our partners in Britain, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Italy, Spain, Poland, Denmark, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, the Netherlands, Norway, El Salvador and the 17 other countries that have committed troops to Iraq."
"Twenty-eight months have passed since Sept. 11, 2001 - over two years without an attack on American soil - and it is tempting to believe that the danger is behind us. That hope is understandable, comforting - and false."

either you're with us or you're with the terrorists'
see ya! what a dickhead!
Just remember, the terrorists don't give a care what side you're on. They just want to blow you up. To them, you're a worse offender than the Christian right, you're a secularist, an infidel.

lets sue the watchtower!!
by dustyb ini wonder if a person could get away with suing the watchtower for stressful thinking and loss of life.
because if you think about it, it's illegal to tell people what to do (slavery), but they claim that everyone has the right mind and that they aren't telling anyone what to do.
i wonder if you could get it suggested by the courts that wts tries to control through written language in the watchtower magazine or somethin, iono.

If you sue this company, you're suing something that's been founded by a Mason, a con man, a lawyer and a corporate theif. Good luck! BTW, I'm only talking about 2 men!

And who here is for the legalization of drugs? If you are, here's a good reason why not to legalize them.

Bush, Religion, Jw's
by joannadandy innow this is not a bush bashing thread, i think everyone here pretty much knows how i feel about the man, but there is quite a bit of controversy surrounding our president--just today even.
he is thinking of funding church groups that do volunteer work.
he was visiting a church in louisana today that has had a childcare program since 1941. he would like to see federal funds given to such organizations even if they are run by a church.

Personally, in my opinion, George W. Bush and his faith-based initiatives disgust me.
He allows his personal belief in Jeezus Khrist to influence his political actions, which thereby affect others who are not Christian. He states unequivocally that God is with the United States of America and the war on Iraq is just. Previously, he supported a ban on stem-cell research because of his Christian views. Currently, he is pushing money through Congress for the church as Joanna mentioned and he is also pushing over a billion through to encourage marriage among youth.
His visit to the grave of Martin Luther King is a publicity stunt no more disgusting than his gratuitious landing on the aircraft carrier in military uniform despite never serving (unless you count going AWOL in the Texas Air National Guard), and his granting money for marriage is designed to court neo-conservative right wingers who oppose abortion (despite it's legality since Roe v Wade) and gay unions, or individuals living together without marriage. Convenient that he embraces such legislation in an election year.
I hate that man. I hate everything he stands for. That is no secret. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Presidents have visited the grave of MLK since the days of Reagan. It's a tradition amongst presidents.
As for god being with the USA, what's wrong with giving a trite phrase about god being with you? It's not unconstitutional to say that, considering that how our declaration of independence mentions god many times. Roe Vs Wade wasn't legal for all women, it was just legal for Jane Roe, who in a funny turn of events, became an anti-abortion activist.
BTW, neoconservatives wouldn't frown on gay marriage. Neocons are usually socially libertarian and fiscally conservative. (Sorta like me.)
You hate the man because he's a Christian conservative? Well that's what he's paid to be. He was elected to be one. (And before you bring up the "rigging" of the 2000 vote, look at this map to show where the people's intent were when they voted, Gore only captured the big cities, the same thing that tryants in previous democracies did.)
You're a bigot against anybody who's white, southern and conservative. Nothing more. I won't take that back...
Oh, btw, look at these religions that are getting public funding. The Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, etc. You know where I was because they didn't get federal funding!? Out on the fucking streets.
