Nope. I've already did what I wanted to do when I was forced to go back to the KH. Made the Elders sweat about the UN fiasco. Check. Played pranks on the people in attendance. Check. Made out with a girl in front of a KH. Check. Brought a staunch atheist to laugh at the WT's theology with me. Check. Everything else now will be an Electric Boogaloo, I.E. an unneeded sequel. The only time I will ever go there now is if there's a funeral, a wedding or if I have to meet a family member there.

How many JWs do you know that have "Failure to Launch" Syndrome
by BBOARD intired of the hypocrisy's post got me thinking ... how many jw "kids" over the age when they should have left home still live with their parents.
i say this because i have many of those in my congregation.
fyi it looks real bad to be a older man (ie 25 and up) scrub laying up at home unless you have a outstanding circumstance i.e.

Here's the reality. Gas is expensive. Housing is expensive. Everything's expensive. If you want to live in an area that isn't economically dead and offers real jobs, prepare to pay through the nose. "Failure To Launch" was something to be ashamed of back in the '90's. Now, with a house, or even an apartment in a place that offers real hope going around $500 a month for starters, there's really no option than to live with mommy and daddy. And 500$ a month doesn't count gas, tuition and car payments.

SEX, LIES, and TEXT MESSAGES
by nomoreguilt inin detroit yesterday, the story broke that the mayor, kwame kilratick, the hip-hop king himself, was under investigation for his alleged purgery in a wrongful discharge lawsuit.
it seems that he fired 2 police officers because of their diligence in investigating his after ours activities at the mayoral mansion.
in his sworn testimony last year, he swore under oath that he did not have any sort of romantic or intimate affair with his chief of staff.

And I'm sure the idiot voters of Detroit would vote for him again, just because he has a D next to his name. Hell, worked for Marion Barry.

Joy Or Sorrow When You First Found Out It Was False?
by serotonin_wraith infor me, it was joy.
i was raised in the religion, and i always figured i'd be dying along with 6 billion others because i hated the meetings, the preaching work and the rules, morality and threats of 'jehovah'.
i did not want it to be true.. for others here, finding out it was false was a hard time to go through.. as well as asking which feelings you had at first (joy/sorrow/or add your own) i have a follow up question for those who found it hard- what was it that made the impending deaths of 6 billion people okay for you?

Disillusionment. Everything I knew since I was a child was a myth and I felt confused. Then I started living my life without the big J-man and his Watchtower thugs. The only time they bother me is when I have to talk to old friends and family about that bullsh*t. Other than that, my life is fine. Personally, the only reason why I even go to the XJW support groups is because I've made such good friends with the people that I went to those support groups with when I was trying to exit. I'm totally unassimilated. I'm mentally and emotionally free.

"Actually, being "stoned" may be the best way to survive an assembly with your sanity intact."
Been there, done that, you just end up hugging people you haven't seen in ages.

House prices may drop up to 25% - Businessweek
by DanTheMan infull article.
while a 25% decline is unprecedented in modern times, some economists are beginning to talk about it.
"we now see potential for another 25% to 30% downside over the next two years," says david a. rosenberg, north american economist for merrill lynch (mer), who until recently had expected a much smaller slide.

Direct Democracy is fine and well, but our country isn't a Democracy, it's a Republic. Our founding fathers saw what democracies devolve into and they wanted to have nothing to do with a democracy.
