A faith healer tried to cure me of my Asperger Syndrome...... Later on that day, he asked why wasn't I looking in his face when he later approached me.

Because this new relationship I'm in, there's another Dub connection. The first relationship I was in post fade, Dubs came to her door. Second one, she lived by a KH, 4th, dubs also came to her door. Fifth, dubs constantly harassed her. 6th one almost became a dub. 7th one, the one I almost got married to, was raised by a dub. In fact, my Dub mom scared her off. Then after a 4 month long jaunt into singleness, when I really wanted to be single, I went on a date with a random girl I met off a dating site who happened to also have Asperger's Syndrome. She seemed like a polar opposite of the other women I dated. It seemed as though we knew each other forever. No KHs in sight from her house. So I thought I got the Jackpot........ Nah uh!
Her stepmom to be wants to be a dub. Her stepmom to be and her dad wanted to meet my mom, just to see what kind of family I came from.... (As No Ap would say "EEEEK!") I then told them that my mom probably wouldn't want to talk to them since they're non witnesses.... She then told me, and I quote "There's nothing wrong with the Witnesses". I knew then she was a dub sympathiser. I pretty much know where this would go. Luckily, her stepmom isn't deep into it. She smokes and celebrated Thanksgiving with us. So I guess there is some hope. Jeeeezus Christ. Good thing I really love this girl or else I would run the hell away. No more dub issues for me. My file at the local walk in psychiatric clinic nearly takes up an entire cabinet, mostly because of the dub related stress I had in 2006 and my unhealthy modes of dealing with the stress. I'm glad I dealt with the stress through therapy or else I probably wouldn't have learned how to be perseverent in the face of stress, optimistic and altristic.
Oh, BTW, this latest Lee relationship is 2 months strong. :) Some in these parts say it's a record.

The Racist Roots of Georgia's Gun Laws

"disarm the negroes!
" is a headline that once was found in the now ultra-liberal and anti-gun atlanta journal & constitution.. don't think that georgia and the former confederate states of america are alone in this..

A gun ban would be probably the worst thing for the inner cities. Contrary to what you probably think, cops aren't these knights in blue shirts. Most, if not all cops I've met are, for lack of a better term, assholes. Cops have to be assholes because cops have to deal with the most depraved, sickest people in our society and they can't assume that everybody's nice. Sometimes, a police officer makes a mistake and oversteps his constitutional authority and puts a citizen who is at often times at a disatvantage because the average citizen isn't armed in danger when the cop makes that mistake. A citizen should have the right to defend themselves from the police, because even the police make mistakes.

Melted Cheese on Chips, What else should I put it on?
by asilentone ini just want to try something different.

If you didn't eat your chips yet, I'd probably have to say a good thing to put on your chips are refried beans, fresh salsa, lime juice and rice. Now that you've mentioned it, I'm going to make some groceries.

I'll give you my own personal take on the race issue since I'm a black man that lives in the Midwest. There is a lot of racism here. Yesterday, I went to visit my white girlfriend at her job in a local department store. Her manager thought I was trying to steal something because according to her, I looked "suspicious".
I don't know what it is that made me look suspicious or like I was going to steal something, but apparently, her boss thought I was "suspicious". What a joke.

Hey, I came to this thread really late. I've just been trying to make my transition out of the borg and I decided to take a little break from this board. It's only by coincidence I found this thread. But I can give you some perspective on this disorder from the horse's mouth.
Imagine living in a country where you only knew 7% of their entire language. You couldn't communicate beyond the "See Spot Run" level. Now imagine trying to find a job in that country by only knowing 7% of the entire language. Then imagine if everybody in that country was xenophobic or just thought that your lack of understanding of their language was a sign of some sort of psychosis or schizophrenia.
Well, that's Asperger's Syndrome. 93% of all communication is nonverbal and at often times, if you don't nonverbally communicate well, you're thought of as "weird" or people shun you. It's hard to find a job, form relationships or do anything interpersonal, because most communication is nonverbal. I've found an Aspie girlfriend so hopefully she could understand, but then again, one of my former girlfriends was also on the Autistic spectrum and she pretty much was a B.I-itch. (A Rush Limbaugh reference).

I'm Autistic too and to me, that's considered a good workout :D

Sit outside on a bus station in any Twin Cities neighborhood in January and you'll understand the connection between Minnesota and purple just by looking at your lips. JK. I really don't know the connection between the two colors. Might be a coincidence.
