I would go and see my oldest son. He hasn't forgiven me for being a witness when his dad and I split up and still wont' talk to me even though I quit. So since I can't talk to him or go see him, if I could spend just one day as a fly on the wall with him even if he didn't know, at least I would have something.

At least there are some mothers in this world that care. That's very touching.

To those that were hoping to leave witty responses to this thread that was mislabled "Letter O", You're going to be disappointed. It's supposed to be "Letter I'm writing to friends."

This is how it starts.

To my dear friends:

You might be confused why I became "Apostate" and "Godless.". Your confusion will be cleared up by this letter.

For a long while, I doubted if the JW's had the truth. Why? Growing up, they seemed to have alot to hide. Think about it. When you were at the doors, you were told to walk away from those that asked questions that were critical of the JW's. I'm sure you didn't give it a second thought, but I did. It's been something gnawing at my inner soul for a long time. I never thought those inner feelings were justified until the child molestation scandals. A certian Elder (Which I won't mention.) told me that the guy that was helping the child molestors was a local ex witness who was caught wife swapping and I shouldn't worry about what happened. Turns out, it wasn't him. It was actually an elder from Kentucky that was disfellowshipped after appearing on NBC's Dateline show, talking about the numerous unreported child molestation cases that occur in the JW organization. It deeply offended me how they would put their organization's reputation in front of one of Jehovah and Jesus' children. And then I brought up a disturbing fact with another group of elders. How the JW's were once affiliated with the UN. They told me that an "Apostate" made up the page that gave indication so. Wrong again. The page that was hosting the document that proved that the UN was affiliated with the WT was on the UN's official site.

They say "Where there's smoke, there's fire". And I see alot of smoke coming from the JW's. I'm not waiting to get burned by the fire if I see something that's cardinally wrong and I blow the whistle.

you're in a hurry, so want to just grab something quick for lunch in a nearby fast food restaurant and then eat back at your desk while you work.

on fox news the son of the man accused of killing his family in fresno was just on camera stating his family was devout 7th day adventists and that "there was never any abuse".

isn't that church a close follower of jw church and policies?

the report states too, that it appears to be a ritual killing.

Congratulations, Spain - first government to fall because of Iraq, Bush!

congratulations to the spanish people, who voted the socialists to power as a protest against the conservative government's supporting bush's war on iraq, and for claiming the madrid bombs were acts of the eta nationalists and not an al-qaida attack because of the war on iraq.. so one government has fallen, and there are many more to come, bush.. who says these days ain't fun?

This has to be the most boneheaded move the Spaniards ever made since the Mexican war. Moves like this will only encourage the terrorists and they'll start attacking even more European countries.
