for me, it was knowing that this wasn't the only "truth" yet feeling responsible to carry thr "party" line and "encourage" others to remain steadfast in the "truth".

while prince stresses he holds no bitterness, he clearly does not hold the music industry with much regard.

Funny how he likens going out of "The World" as taking the red pill in the Matrix. Something tells me that he's going to take a red pill soon enough in another sense.

witnesses believe it would be a transgression against jehovah's sanctity of blood to give your pet a blood transfusion....even though it's an animal, blood is to be poured out on the ground and not used in any manner.

My Visit to the LDS

a girl i was dating 'bout 5 years ago was a member of the church of the later day saints, known to it's members as lds.

joseph smith, the book of mormon, you know the bit.

she invited me to attend services on a sunday and i agreed.

My first and last visit to an LDS church was a lesson in how to recognize a sheister when you see one. The moment they mentioned storing a year's worth of food for armageddon, I immediatley decided not to go to that church anymore in fear that I might be sucked into armageddon watching again.

a story out of roanoke, virginia tells of the murder of an 82 year old woman by her daughter.

the daughter believed that the end of the world would be in the year 2000 at the millennium.

an interesting comment was made by her brother: "anyone that can condone someone murdering their mother--i don't judge them; that's up to jehovah god.

I know that many Adventist sects (Remember, CTR was a disfellowshipped Adventist) use the holy name almost as much or at times, even more than the JW's. Many of those Adventist sects also embraced the Y2K end of the world doctrine too.
