Did Jesus use real wine or grape juice at the last supper?
by Robotnomore ini was talking to a friend and they said that jesus didn't use real wine because he would not put any alcohol in his body.
she said that when jesus was hanging on the cross and they offered him the pain killer and he refused proves that he wouldn't take alcohol.
so in their communion at their church they use grape juice instead of wine.

Jesus was a gifted wine maker. I doubt very much that during his last supper he would skimp on the real thing and substitute it for cool aid.

North America: Tonight, Advance Your Clocks 1 Hour
by RAYZORBLADE injust a reminder, in case you forget, or perhaps did not know, tonight, if you live in north america, you advance your clock: + 1 hour
so...you lose one hour sleep.
here, we change the clock at 3:00 a.m., but of course, change it maybe before you go to bed, or when you wake up tomorrow morning.

Soledad, I just love the fall back hours I love the darkness. During the spring and summer it's 8:30 p.m. and the sun hasn't even set. Way to much brightness add hot, hazzy, humid.Uuggg

Ground Zero
by Amazing ini recently traveled to new york city, but was not there to focus attention on the watchtower.
rather, ground zero was on my agenda, and i was not disappointed, though i discovered a few surprises.
i have been in the twin towers (wtc) several times, and have pictures of the view, including the watchtower buildings across the east river.

Thanks Amazing for sharing your story about NYC. It is a different place than it once was. And yes we are reminded everyday at evercorner that we are at war. After the attacks on the WTC my relatives who participated in the recovery and clean up efforts spoke to me about the catastrophicness of it all. I was so frightened I didn't want to go near it. On the 1st year anniversary I decided I wanted to go see the site for myself. I felt it was necessary for me to go see.
I went during the christmas holidays since the sights in NYC are so fantastic during this season. First stop ground zero. I lost my breath by the enormity of it all. I could see clear across to the west side highway from downtown Manhattan that was an unusual sight. My lower Manhattan was no longer the same the landscape had changed. Now my country is at war. What a sobering reality .
Some New Yorker don't like visitors taking pictures of ground zero. I understand how they feel we are a little sensitive even protective. But this New Yorker doesn't mind I want the world to see it I don't want the world to forget.
p.s. sorry about the pot holes, we had a wicked winter

Your most powerful spiritual saying is?????
by anti-absolutist inwe all go through times of stress and sad times.
what is a simple, yet profound saying that you have reminded yourself of to make these troubling times easier?
you don't have to believe in a literal god, just that there are higher thoughts within us that we all are able to draw from.. the one that has worked the best for me is: .

2. Live with the wolves and you will learn how to howl.
3. Eagles fly alone; sheep flock together.
