I believe these forms are designed with the intention to manipulate the thinking of the carrier it's a form of mind control. They are a reminder, token, object referral of the conditions/specifications that are acceptable to the "society". The personal decision aspect is deceiving "NOT ACCEPTABLE" is in bold type they are telling you how and what you should already be thinking.

when you are seeing someone, what will turn you off or cause you to want to give the other person the flick?

i have talked to a number of female friends and they agree weak or 'sparkless' kissing is a killer.

(see thread on kissing) for me...and i know this sounds shallow... lousy sex is a killer.

i used to do this everyday.

when i was being abused, i used to pray incessantly for god to help me.

Edited to add: "But the thought of not having any life after our short existence on earth scares the heck outa me". Sorry empty box!!! I'm workin on it.

i recognized at a young age that most women prefer men that are taller than themselves.

i read somewhere that this is in part due to taller men make women feel safe and feminine.

makes sense to me.

5'6" here so I find taller men attractive 6'0" or better.

Waverers Almost Gone When They Arrive Here?

of late, we have seen several threads started here and elsewhere that question the responsibility of ex's towards wavering jw's.

much of the material in these threads has been to do with whether our words or behaviour on these sites should be moderated so as not to "stumble" wavering witnesses.

some folk are of the opinion that we have no responsibilty whatsoever to waverers, others say we have a degree of responsibilty, yet others opine that we have a very great degree of responsibility.

Weaverers almost gone when they arrive here?

Well this was never the case and point for me. I walked away from the society in 1981 all these years I've been walking in the realm of the "wicked system". During this time I never read/heard of any material critical of WT. The worldwideweb didn't exsist back then. This place holds its value in its wealth of literary information as well as the abundance of the common experience. Even though at times it's difficult for me to think in terms of JWism since I've been away from it for so long.

Only when they had already gone at 80% of the way did---acutally, could they----read material like CoC, or internet material or anything else critical of WT. Such material provided necessary facts to go the rest of the way.

Again, I can't say this appplies to me. I considered myself 98% gone 15 years ago. I've been starving for any type of material on the subject matter. CoC took me on a tour and taught me about the inner workings of the upper echelon of the society. Confirmed many of my suspicion about the WT and I'll say it again the truth can be found within the minutes of the board meetings. Jehovahs Witness that are doubting their faith today are extremely fortunate in finding and having a place like this to come to.

yes, folks ... i was shocked, horrified, and dumbfounded by what took place this evening.

a chapter right out of george orwell's 1984 ... big brother listens in for quality assurance.

even my radical right-wing conservative republican sensibilities were shaken to the ground.

I've always believed "big brother" hard at work gathering information in the D epartment of Motor Vehicles Bureu since a persons drivers license is worth its weight in gold rich in personal information and most valued form of identification. Or perhaps even on some street corner where cameras flash motorist in the midst of almost running through a red light so as now you can recieve a moving violation via mail picture all included. I guess I was wrong "big brother" has infiltrated the public library system in the name of {"peace & security"catch phrase in everything Orwellian including the WTsociety} this one is a eye popper for me, who would've thought? Should the new line of thinking for the librarian be raise your voices in protest inorder to protect and defend the back bone of a free society? I was particularly impressed by these words in the article *If information is not collected it cannot be released* movement is essential. This was an interesting and infomative piece thanks for posting.
