  Did a householder at the door ever cause you doubts

  recently on a saturday morning there was a knock on my door.

  two ladies asked me if i was familiar with the jws.

  i said: yes unfortunatley.

  It was a householder that made me look deeper into this religion. It was about a year and a half ago. I was taking a door going through my presentation like normal.He then said I should do some research about 1975 and that I should stop wasting my time. He kindly said he wasn't interested and went back inside and said do some research before trying to convince people of truth. I had NO idea what that was all about. I went home and looked up the 1975 is and found this site. I just ignore it for a while. I asked a few elders that lived through that period bout it. I got so many mixed answers. It finally bugged me enough where I convinced myself that if truth is truth it can hold its own ground. With time I did more and more research and here I am. Thanks to a householder.

  I don't think it's the fact that everyone can partake of the emblem. I'm ruling that one out. Think of how much wine and bread would be needed. Also consider the fact that children under 21 get baptized. That could cause legal issues...

  think of all the anxious souls who barely escaped the end of 6,000 years of human existence in 1975. they were saved!.

  If that were the case wouldn't the entire bible be out of order? I thought the bible is accurately in order. I haven't seen it in any other order at least.

  if one has a question that they need to present to the branch for clarification e.g.

  - info regarding a teaching that one does not understand, where should the letter be addressed to and to whose attention should it be presented?.

  Well I'm not sure I agree with not being able to prove an event. I mean the book of Genesis was written by Moses. He was alive far before Paul was. At least from what I know. Also the prophecy of how king Cyrus would over throw Babylon 200 years before it happened.

  Wow that's just horrible... I'm sorry to hear that. If only we could go back in time and fix what we broke. If anyone else want to apologize feel more than free. It made me feel a bit better granted no one I know will read this but hopefully it helps those being shunned understand that at the time we felt like it was for the right reason.
