i've been reading this forum for 3 months trying to understand how jw's live their lives away from the work environment and how it affects their life decisions.

Does anyone who challenges some of the views posted here have to be a JW? Could it be an ex JW? An inquirer? A curious surfer?
The fact that i can speak knowledgeably does not label me!

Whilst you are entitled to your own veiws, your ungracious reply won't ganer you any respect. (Ecclesiates 10 v 12).
Do you lambast anyone who agrees with WTS & anyone who puts forward a view slightly different to yours?
Its rather conceited to label me so quickly as you know nothing about me. May it be it is you who are influenced by "unwritten laws" & "guilt trips"

here is big contradiction between the watchtower and the bible:.
the watchtower society says that jesus christ was resurrected as a "spirit creature" and that he no longer had his body because jehovah (the father) "zapped" his body out of existence.. what does the bible say?:.
john 2:18: the jews therefore answered him, "what sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?".
You need to check your facts before shooting your mouth off & slandering others.
Why not spend your time doing what the bible tells you to do (eg Matthew 28:18 -20) instead of slagging off others..(now what scripture would that be.?

Well, if you really want to know about Jehovahs Witnesses this is the wrong site. Everyone here are ex- witnesses &/or who have an axe to grind.
There is a lot of inaccurate information here too. For example, joy2bfree says that:
JW's MUST do 10 hours of preaching a month. WRONG, each one does what they can. You do it for God not for men.
JW's can't pursue further/higher education. WRONG. They are remined to examine motives & purpose of such.
JW's are controlled. WRONG everything a JW does is voluntary. Taught they are & taught how to study, to examine. Any group of people needs some organization, just like the congregations in the first century. Were christians controlled then?
JW's must do what they are told or they will be made to feel guilty. PARTIALLY WRONG. People become JW's out of free choice. They do as much/ as little as they can & are accountable to God, not men. If one does feel guilty then that is a personal feeling, generated for a number of different reasons. The JW org' is not to blame if one feels giulty or pressured. After all, they joined the JW's volunarily & can leave any time they want.
Wonderer, this is not the formum for accurate info on JW's. Try the official webite or visit the local congregation for yourself.

i remember some study conductors who had the habit of calling on people in the audience that seemed distracted or unprepared--on purpose so as to embarass them.
some were so out of it when the mic was handed to them they had to ask what was the question, why did you call on me i didnt have my hand up, etc.
Yes, but i was never led to belive that Jehovahs Witness, past or present are perfect. It's obvious that, just like bible characters who served God in the past, all servants of God come from the same backrounds as the whiners on this forum & are not perfect, make mistakes & need to continue making imporvements - just like me & you.
