  Career Change???

  well i worked for many years in low paying jobs-fast food,motels, delivering pizzas.

  i started working in a law enforcement field nearly 8 years ago, and have been there ever since.

  i always was interested in law enforcement and fire/rescue when i lived in kentucky, so i finally entered the corrections field in 1999. it's a decent paying job with benefits galore, i have lots of sick time built up along with lots of vacation time.

  First of all how old are you?

  What do you like? Science? Art? Teaching? etc.

  If you are over 50, look out, chances are you will find it difficult to get a job in a field without experience. Choices could be slim.

  Forget the money. Find something in line with what you like to do. Counselor would be advisable if you cannot decide for yourself. If you like what you do the money will follow. Patience is a vertue my friend.Good luck.

  The Society's more permissive stance on blood fractions could kill my Mum!

  we had my mum and dad down for a meal at the weekend.

  me and mum have a kind of 'unspoken truce' going on where neither of us raise an issue in conversation that will lead to a discussion on any jw sensitive topics.

  it's not perfect and it doesn't always work but at least we are maintaining a relationship of sorts.. anyway, knowing that this is the 'blood card' time of year i did take the chance on asking mum just what her personal stand on blood and fractions would be.

  I once found $60 in the snow of a service station while I was filling up. I have never found a wallet, however if I ever do I would personally deliver or send it to its rightful owner. I would never hand it over to a cop. THere are crooked cops like anyone else.

  I believe that there appears somewhere in the WT documents that tells the members that they should not read past documents as a means of disproving the position of the watchtower in Gods world. My daughter told me (a few years ago) that the WTS has indicated to her that it was a mistake which has been corrected and this avenue should not be persued any further. Was this a ruse to get me off her back or what.In any event, if this document exists, surely it should be included in this catalogue.

  What Do People Hate Most About JWs???

  i think most "worldly" people consider jws a nusiance---especially on a saturday morning!

  they hate being bothered by peddlers at their door.

  some people can't stand the witnesses' smugness and self righteous attitude.

  Does the local KH "mark" certain homes as undesirable for all to know. I enjoyed the confrontations I had with the JWs that came to my front door. I would get them off the subject they wanted to persue by adding just plain common sense. THey would quickly excuse themselves and leave. Works every time. I haven't had any visits recently, I was wondering if my home has been tagged as undesirable or whatever they would call it,
