I am an aborigine, a "murri", I see the plight of our people, very sad that many are like this. I've lived in outback QLD most of my life and questioned why my own people live the way they do. Most of my aboriginal family have done very well for themselves. My generation, all my cousins, my brother and sister and myself, which I am proud to say, (all of us are NOT JWs) has successful fitters, welders, lawyers, doctors, studying politics, business and curators, completed TAFE cert 4s, etc and all of us are doing well except for 2-3bludgers.

What do you think? Prison guards man-handle a young native Australian.
by fulltimestudent inthe desert areas of central australia, the so-called 'red heart' of the nation, still has a significant population of original australians.
and many of them seem to have difficulty with the law.*.
that's a very brief and simplistic introduction to this video of prison guards in the alice springs jail, manhandling a young boy.

I had the same problem. could not make close friends And never thought I'd trust anyone to get close to again. But over the past two years I've managed to make two close friends and we talk about everything and I've told them of my JW past and they've been a great support for me and they've proved themselves to be true friends. They've helped me heal. And helped me to have enough confidence to stand on my own, seperate from JWism. JWism no longer cripples me with fear. I admit I do get moments of anxiety and stress regarding JWs, especially as my parents are in but it's slowly dissipating. I know I'm right in leaving that religion.
I used to be on medications too- Effexor and Epilim for a mood disorder. It caused my daughter to be born with a disability. I refused to take them ever again But I've not been as bad as I was prior to having children. I still suffer bouts of depression and struggle but that's when my friends and my mum comes and helps me.

Why isn't the story of SAMPSON quickly and clearly regarded a myth?
by Terry injudges chapter 15:.
14 when he came to lehi, the philistines shouted triumphantly at meeting him.
then jehovahs spirit empowered him,+ and the ropes on his arms became like linen threads that were scorched with fire, and his fetters melted off his hands.+ 15 he now found a fresh jawbone of a male donkey; he reached out and grabbed it and struck down 1,000 men with it.+ 16 then samson said: with the jawbone of a donkeyone heap, two heaps!

What about Romans 14?
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. (Romans 14:1-4 NIV)

I teach my children in the same way! I explain how different people believe and worship in different ways and that we should respect that. They can also decide for themselves what they believe and what makes sense to them!

Goals? goals help me achieve my purpose. In my home based business for example I've been meaning to set up a website for a while now. But because I've set a goal to have it done this financial year I've gone and done it. Otherwise like all the years before I would never have done it And thus my business would still be in the same rut Of not moving forward.
My General goal in life is to be a good person and to do the right thing by others. to be reasonable and to be good.
