  i heard about coursera but in today's new york times there was an article about massive online courses offered by universities.

  the three above universities started free courses before coursera.

  as i scrolled down the course list, i noticed that a course in paul's writings is offered soon.

  I made a huge mistake

  its been a tough 6 months for my jw hubby and myself.

  next saturday is our anniversary.

  i wasn't sure we would make it with the turbulance of the last 6 months.

  preferred to.go out in service than come over for dinner, with this happening repeatedly .... arrived late to a congregation gathering bc they had a late study.... scheduled graduation/anniversary parties at odd times to accommodate the odd saturday meeting time.... cancelled plans to hang out bc their clique member called last minute.... or better yet, never had time to.hang out bc theirschedule was constantly booked with clique events they couldn't bother to include you in.... but you're my ffriend, i love you!

  Missionaries to vacate all missionary homes

  latest news from a source (missionary in foreign land):.

  no more missionary homes anywhere in the world.. all missionaries presently in missionary homes must vacate.

  must get housing on your own / from the locals.. circuit and district overseers have moved into many of these former missionary homes.. reasons: liability, cost savings, real estate to be sold or used for other purposes.. needless to say, many of these longtime servants are very unsettled.

  I remember when i did a tour of a foreign branch office how proud the JW tour guide was about the fact that their old time missionaries were being taken care of . I thiught it was veryencouraging. This tour was before i got baptized and made a big impression on me. This news is disheartening. However, in a morbid type of way, we can rejoice bc there will be no more missionaries to promote cult propaganda. Let WT bleed dry, financially and spiritually.

  Question about the Pope

  has anyone else heard about the new pope trying to establish one worldwide religion?

  the un is expected to follow with declarations of peace.

  apparently many witnesses ae discussing this and see it as a sign of the end..

  I don't know if I'm really arguing this position, but recently I got into a discussion with a history teacher about the UN being a confederacy, a government of loosely linked nations. He gave the example of the EU being a confederacy, and that the UN is trying to follow along in its footsteps. I wish I knew more about the UN, but there are charters and mandates and court systems and declarations issued and established by the UN. These institutions give more than just the appearance of government- - they arr followed by each member state on a voluntary basis .It is ppossible for a one world government to be establishe, but not the way we think of it where states give up their ssovereignty.
