since my ex and i separated over a year ago, we have taken entirely different paths as ex jws.

i have primary custody of the girls.

i take them biking, to the park, hiking, and fir strolls in the neighborhood.

I went to one of my previous halls remodel today and they did not recognize me...

i definitely look like a worldly person by jw standards... however i went to my old hall because they are remodelling and they are in the final p[hase.

it was not on purpose.

i had bnusiness on the street and happened to drive past.

Nothing! Friendships are conditional. You don't even need to be df'd to be dropped by good friends. Just move congregations and they forget all about you-- even if you try to stay in contact!

Service was a pointless waste of time. Most of the pioneers I knew just shoved magazines in ppls faces. There was hardly any dialogue with householders!

The brothers were a bunch of sexist jerks. The few male friends I had in the congregation had some semblance of being rational about how to treat and think about the opposite sex. Otherwise, I was dealing with an 19th century mentality!

About the only thing I miss are the dinner parties I had. I love havingcompany and cooking for good friends. Right now,i'm busytrying to put together a group of friends to make that happen.

Since my ex and I separated over a year ago, we have taken entirely different paths as ex jws. I have primary custody of the girls. I take them biking, to the park, hiking, and fir strolls in the neighborhood. For the times that theyre with him, I've gone dancing twice but have mainly gone to the beach and gone hiking along the river and by a nearby stream. Ive also taken the girls to museums and we even webt on a mini winter vacation. To be honest, none of this is out of the norm for me except that I have more time now to enjoy my life

On the other hand, the ex has:stopped paying child support (sinceOctober) stopped seeing the girls (since February) , and has been living it up clubbing, at concerts, bars, steakhouses and other fancy restaurants. He's gone on trips to NYC and is just basically living like a man with no responsibilities. How do I know? A friend of mine found his fb page.

When I met him, he was df'd and basically doing the same thibgs then that he's doing now. I'm just wondering: how typical is this behavior for a born in ex jw? I was a convert so I think the mentality of a convert is veryddifferent from a born in once they'reout of the cult. problem is, I'm basing this conclusion on just my experience. What say you? Do born in exjws lose their brains and sense of morality once they leave?

I hate that they say that the person that is df'd is not repentant and that they are willfully disobeying Jehovah. I made it clear in my JC that I really was but that I needed support bc of the abusive situation I was in. No matter. They essentially abandoned me during the worst time of my life. None of my "friends" cared about my situation. Then they wonder why I didn't make the effort to get reinstated. They were COLD. They are COLD.

Have You Been Invited To The Memorial?

one of my best friend's, who is an ex elder had two elders visit him at his home yesterday to invite him to the memorial.

he was cordial to them because they were'nt over the top.. so far, i have had no invites, thank god..

I live 5 minutes up the street from the KH. none of my neighbors have yet to receive one invitation. :-)
