I haven't made a character attack. You both joined at the same time and you fully support Hold Me's views. I find that more than coincidental, but other than being adorable is anything but an attack. I find your spin about Satan circular, specious, and insulting to my intelligence. I have read that spin before and rejected it for the same reasons. It's all made up or none of it is made up. I choose the former, for all of the reasons you will find on similar OPs as well as this one. I've read that stuff too. It's spin. Not very good spin either. George was a real person; the cherry tree story was a story. You can't read the references about Satan made by Jesus, etc. in the NT and tell me that none of them thought he was a real personage. There are too many of them and they are made at some of the most crucial points in the NT. It is an insult to anyone's intelligence to ask them to swallow that without throwing all of it out as rubbish, including the existence of Jesus, Michael, Moses and the apostles, which is what Simon is saying in this OP.

i know many on here have lost faith in the bible , is it possible that is because ones do not have the right perspective regarding it .
we have usually been taught by bad teachers , or ignorant .
i believe if we take an honest look at the bible , we will see that it gives us the best answers to crucial matters , it gives us some amount of bearings ( understanding ) , which without having such knowledge we would all be more like walking zombies in amanner of speaking , we would be lacking hope in something better , for surely something better is to come , how can we be sure , .
I've avoided all of William's OPs and commentary to this point, because it violates one of my prime directives to become engaged in theist/scripture discussions. Like others of you I don't believe he is really trying to defend the bible. I think he is just getting us ready for the real reason for his arrival, which is:
To show us all his amazingness and awesomeness in knowledge of all things scripture. I'm expecting him to start telling us that he and only he has the correct interpretation of prophecy and to ignore all those who went before him, such as the Dark Lords. They all got it wrong; William has it right.
He seems to fit the profile of those arriving - and exiting - before him. Delusional narcissism is the thing that drives them. Anyway, I will continue to stay out of all of his OPs and the religious, scriptural, god discussions as always until he starts telling us that HE has the correct interpretation of all things scripture, prophecy and a direct conduit to the big girl in the sky.
