  Your opinion about dating sites?

  i have been a jw all my life, while i also have a "spiritual divorce", which means i can remarry a jw again.

  i am not sure if i want to go that route again and dating in the jw world feels like a struggle sometimes.

  with all the rules.

  Based on your emotional and psychological states, you would be wise to avoid anything associated with romantic relationships right now.

  Do not under any circumstances date a dub.

  As you state you still have a dub mindset about such things, which means you aren't suited to have casual, physical relationships - without wanting to bring a U-haul on the 2nd date. Or at least after you've seen her naked. Both are big mistakes. People are complicated. And when I say people I mean girls. Women are extremely complicated.

  And with many gulls, i mean girls, that isn't just lipstick on her beak when she shows up on your doorstep. It's also twigs and other nest building stuff.

  Hello. Newman. I mean Rat Again. I thought that was your rodentous oderifousness I sensed when I logged on this morning.

  What gives? You and I are starting to agree on stuff. Match is the largest dating 'site" I believe. It really isn't a bad place to start, aa Rat states, if for no other reason than to understand who is out there, what you are looking for and what you have to offer.

  Stay true to your screen name. Did you really consider doing that, or are you just funning with us?

  Otherwise take your time. Guard your heart (and other parts).

  My son just got a serious job offer

  and it looks like he will be accepting it.he will be teaching english as a second language in shenzhen, china.

  it's with a company that works with the public school system out there.his salary includes an apt (most likely shared) that has utilities and internet included, and looking at cost of living (after the rent he isn't paying) it looks like he will be able to put money aside every month.not bad for a kid his age-travel to the other side of the globe, meet new people, get paid, and get experience.

  i am going to miss him..

  Sophia and Caleb videos helped wake me up

  so the sophia and caleb videos on jw.org where the parents emotionally abuse their children (especially the sparlock/obey jehovah video and the pay attention at the meetings/death threat video) were real eye openers for me.

  previous to these videos, i was able to delude myself that the crazy, unbalanced behavior i noticed in some witness parents was the result of their own mental issues.

  now i realize this craziness is being pushed and encouraged from the tippy top, from the grand ole maleficent seven.

  Great OP. Thank you. I came to the same conclusions simply by observing my 2 beautiful children and the world around me.

  If the Sophia and Caleb videos had existed I'm sure they would have sped up the process.

  The Rebel, ditto to the religious charlatans and politicos. I changed the pic of Victoria because it was way too large. I didn't realize the new picture would impact your comments about her hands. The new picture is smaller and doesn't overwhelm the screen.

  what exactly do the jw's mean by it ?.

  The DarkLords use it to judge and control. And to show everyone how very special they are.

  It slays me that ex or exiting Dubs use this term in a pejorative sense about themselves. It's common for an awake spouse to describe themselves as less spiritual than their still- in blind mate, as if they are deficient in some manner.There are several current examples.

  This is a meaningless word.. Or it can have so many applications as to make it non specific, generic, all encompassing.

  To my lovely exiting and ex dubs: End the use of such words as applied by the DarkLords. It will speed you on your way to recovery.

  And please stop calling it the truth. Makes me cringe and want to throw up.

  Theists, why does God allow suffering..

  ..specifically, the suffering of animals.

  you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

  i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.
