i proably shouldnt be on here but i feel like saying this.

i have been for the last couple weeks been studying religion.

i've learned the only ones who today do what the bible says to is jw.

New Religion where to look?

has anyone found any religion that makes more sense than the watchtower organization?

obviously catholics make even less sense than them so don't say that.... the reason i ask is because i still believe the bible is the word of god, but just that the jw's have twisted it for their own benefit, as most religions seem to do....

been lurking since early this year.

there are many of us out there (at least in this area, central u.s.) who are waking up and crossing the line to talk to each other about it.

in our area, several elders, ministerial servants and pioneers are actively and openly sharing info with each other daily.

is it possible that trump may play a part in the great tribulation?.

there are some who believe trump is one of the most unqualified of men to ever be elected president of the united states.

A few years ago I developed and taught, at one of the local colleges, an Intelligence Analysis course. I developed it with the assistance of the Lt. at West Point who taught the same class to the Academy's cadets. I had even selected the same texts they used, without knowing it at the time. For much of the past decade I've been privileged to work as an intelligence analyst, among other tasks, for one of the sections of our (US) gov.

So I guess you could say I'm an expert in this area. Because I'm an expert in this area. You begin your analyses with the end already formulated (End Times, Bible inerrancy, blah blah fukking blah) and you massage and force all available data and interpretations into it. It is called confirmation bias and it's all you got. And Fish, the bible, Nostradamus, your aunt's tea leaves and the stuff you pull out of your ass do not count as sources.

So when you say you are analytical it means you have made up your mind before you intensely analyze 1/1,000,000,000,000th of the data.

You flail around in a cesspool of confirmation bias. You've been ears' deep in it so long you don't realize it smells like poop. Because that is what it is.

You swim in a cesspool named confirmation bias. Every sentient thought and all of your emotions are wrapped around your beliefs.

You never consider any evidence that does not support your pre conceived views, so to state that you are analytical is a travesty to analysts and the analytical process.

You will remain convinced, irrespective of the evidence. Don't insult us.

why is it ok to look at naked pictures/videos of your wife/husband but porn if you look at another man/woman naked?.

if you happen to divorce your spouse is it then pornography if you look at naked/sex videos/pictures of them?.

Ditto. In the early 90s I began despising the mind numbing control of the DarkTower and grew to despise its leaders even more. The closer I got to the center of the apple the more rotten the apple. Making rules, near rules, mini-me rules, kinda sorta rules, semi rules and walk, talk and sound like rules for every facet of our lives was the one thing that fueled my exit from this cult and its control of me and my little kids. Including the type of music we listened to, which was none of their fukking business.

Just a change in a few thousand votes in 2 or 3 states would have changed the outcome of the election. Hillary won the popular vote. It was lots of things, but a landslide wasn't one of them.

Millions of people predicted a Trump victory; they are called Trump supporters. He has been dabbling in a presidential run for a long time. Hillary, before Trump entered the fray, had one of the highest negative ratings in political history. She has had a well deserved reputation for decades as being a mean spirited elitist. The ONLY reason Hillary was even considered likely to win the election is because the Republican candidates including Trump all shot themselves in their own feet while they weren't shooting one another.

The country is fractured right down the middle. ANY outcome, given these situations AND the plethora of candidates who, other than Bernie, came across as complete buffoons, would not have been a surprise.

And finally: If Deborah the prophetess is so good why isn't she in Vegas gambling? Playing the lottery? Picking stocks? Betting on the NBA, NFL, . . . . . .

My gay friend went back to JWs?

one of my best friends was disfellowshipped several years ago, and word quickly got around that it was because he's gay.

we lost touch after that because of the disfellowshipping, but since i'm out now, i just found him online and got back in touch with him.

it was a great conversation, but he said he returned to jehovah.

I will never understand calling it the truth when we know it to be a lie.

If you've been on this site 10 years shouldn't you already have figured out this kind of stuff? WTF have you been doing for a decade, and why would you care what the DarkTower or any other brain dead high control cult or religion teaches about such things as porn or sex?

Your mind should be free of such things by now.
