MarieK,
Welcome to the site and to freedom. We've been there; we understand.
i hope everyone is having a good saturday.
i've visited this many times in the past month or so, joined yesterday and finally got the nerve to post!
needless to say, i'm super nervous, being new to this whole experience.
MarieK,

serena williams has just won the wimbledon ladies' singles championship.
she beat garbine muguruza in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. the match lasted 1 hour 24 minutes.. tomorrow, djokovic plays federer in the men's singles final.
it is a rematch of last year's men's final.
Splash,
More accurately she would likely not be ranked, by her own admission. There are many male tennis players who could soundly beat her and you have never and will never hear their names. There simply is a big difference in strength, endurance and speed.

Nicolau: "Name me any other profession where women get equal pay for less than equal work?"
I will name two: modeling and porn actor. In both industries, women make a lot more than their male counterparts, for the same work.
well there are lots of reason for sure, denial, delusion, wishful thinking, ego maniac, infantile understanding of ancient writings, satanophobia, xenophobia, out of touch with reality, limited choices scrapping the bottom of the barrel, and many more.. listen to this ted talk and see if you can pick out something that helps explain why these guys are such ass holes:.
organizations are often run according to the superchicken model, where the value is placed on star employees who outperform others.
and yet, this isnt what drives the most high-achieving teams.
I'm impressed. Lots of excellent comments from Oppostate, Frank, LisaRose and Steve2, as well as others. Having said that, the chicken Ted Talk has some truths, but it is also very simplistic and not completely transferrable to human teams. The Dark Lords seem to be employing a very successful strategy used by Jack Clarke, the CEO of G.E. from 1981 - 2001. Welch understood that the Pareto principle, aka the 80/20 rule, almost always exists in organizations - and nearly everything else in life. In other words, 20% of a company's employees do 80% of the work. These 'stars,' if you want to call them that, are vital to a company's success (or government, church, etc.).
From Wiki: Under Welch's leadership, GE increased market value from $12 billion in 1981 to $280 billion, making 600 acquisitions while shifting into emerging markets. Welch worked to streamline GE, eradicating inefficiencies by trimming inventories and dismantling the 9 layer management bureaucracy, closing factories, reducing payrolls and cutting lackluster units. And rewarding the 'stars.'
Each year, Welch would fire the bottom 10% of his managers, regardless of absolute performance. He rewarded those in the top 20% with bonuses and stock options. Welch also strongly believed that upper management, the leaders, deserved all the glory and $ they got, and he wasn't at all concerned with the disparity.
It seems that the Dark Lords have hired an efficiency and management consultant; from what I hear you all say, the Dark Tower's changes the past few years are strikingly similar to Welch's reforms.
i've spent the last 6 months or so really in depth into ttatt, really angry at times, cursing the cult that is the wts led by the fds, and today i feel like i've found a new fire.
i'd been completely opposed to listening to anything to do with the organization, but today i watched the brie video on youtube, young high school girl pouring her heart out in opposition of the wts and its practices.. from there, i found jwstruggle on youtube, johncedars, and derekohare... it's just a wonderful thing finding people willing to out the wts for what it is.
i had felt such anger, like, they're getting away with their bologna, but to see people like this making stands against the wts is an amazing source of hope.. besides forums such as this, what have you found that helped you?.
TheDoctor,
I understand completely what you are feeling. The anger I had after learning that the Dark Lords had misled us all was overwhelming. I hit the ground running upon my exit of the cult over 20 years ago, channeling my anger into positive actions.
I went back to school, completing 2 college degrees over a period of 5 years - and working on a third, volunteering, traveling a lot, spending enormous amounts of time with my two beautiful, amazing children who also exited with me, and simply trying to recapture what I had wasted spending so many years in the Dark Tower.
I haven't looked back. I didn't join or participate in any ex-Dub forums until 2 years ago upon joining this site. I spent the previous 20 or so years living my life to the full.
That's how I handled my anger. But I'm still angry at those evil men. I try every day to use it as rocket fuel.
ok ladies, has there been any documented studies on the role religion or society plays in keeping women in an economical and social disadvantaged state ?
im wondering how many other women out there in the world, who either being raised or being long term followers of a strict religious faith, with traditional family structures, have upon either divorce or death of a spouse find it nearly impossible to find a mate or economic stability , and live out the remainder of their lives struggling and either bouncing from one guy to another, being disappointed or used, or simply alone.
i have personally felt, that i, being a xjw and now divorced woman , with no acceptable work skills,[ ie: fancy resume with degrees] living of low wage part time work and barely any alimony , will simply be viewed as someone trying to get another man to support her.
SoWhatNow,
I told myself NOT to enter an OP about dating, as I have a bad picker. Please, listen to LisaRose and a few of the others. Having said that, everyone has a right to want what they want. You shouldn’t judge men who want an independent woman with her own income. Like a lot of men, I’ve paid for almost everything associated with dating and I was the sole income earner when I was married (long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away). So now I won't accept someone who can't or won't pay their fair share.
For over 2 decades I’ve been single; most of that time I wasn’t in or pursuing a relationship. However, I like girls. A lot. Well, girl parts actually, but that’s another OP. Anyway, when I have been looking for a relationship, I have an ever increasing list of things that I am looking for and another for things I won’t accept.
You think you got problems finding someone? Try finding a blonde, blue-eyed, beautiful, brainy, busty, bisexual who is sane, kind, generous and rational. Oh, and whose father owns a liquor store.
Obviously with a list like that there are times when I‘ve had to jettison some of the requirements. On several occasions I’ve waived the liquor store thing-ey, for example. And since no woman is truly sane and rational, I’ve had to give up on those too. But I’ve held on to the more important things.
Otherwise, you seem to be a very nice person with a lot to give. Do not minimize your gifts. As others have stated, there is a someone out there for you, looking for you. Good luck.
it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.
i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

You all may get your wish:
Open Criminal Investigation for Bill Cosby, LAPD Confirms, July 8, 2015, 1:38 PM ET
By LINSEY DAVIS, Correspondent, ABC News
The Los Angeles Police Department said it will explore any sexual assault accusations against embattled TV star and comedian Bill Cosby, including accusations for which the statute of limitations has expired.

Ditto Simon. In one of my earlier posts on this OP I indicated that he would be ultimately abandoned by the entertainment industry. Another despicable aspect of the Cos' 40 year rape spree is that he used his fame and feigning mentoring attractive young women to lure them into position. The man is despicable on many levels.
Isn't it ironic, don't you think?
so just how non-judgmental, tolerant, respectful, caring, loving, liberal and humane are the religious groups?.
"findings from prris american values atlas, which draws on 40,000 interviews among a random sample of americans, provides the most in-depth portrait to date of attitudes on same-sex marriage by religious affiliation.. the most supportive major religious groups are buddhists (84 percent), jews (77 percent), and americans who select other religion (75 percent); additionally, more than three-quarters (77 percent) of the religiously unaffiliated also support same-sex marriage.. more than six in ten (62 percent) white mainline protestants support same-sex marriage.
among white mainline protestant denominations, support ranges from 69 percent support among white mainline presbyterians and 68 percent among both white episcopalians and white congregationalists/united church of christ members, to lower support among white mainline baptists (53 percent) and white mainline church of christ/disciples (50 percent).. and while the catholic church officially opposes the legalization of same-sex marriage, about six in ten white (61 percent), hispanic (60 percent), and other non-white catholics (60 percent) support allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry legally.
Snare,
Not surprising, is it. The 25% of the Dubs who were OK with gay marriage could have done so based on marriage being a state/constitutional issue rather than a moral one. When I was a dub I would have been ok with gay marriage even when I was the truest of true believers based on church/state separation.
The Dubs are likely proud that they are at the bottom (top?) on this issue; it is the perfect spin for the Dark Lords to reinforce that they are special, god's select, all washed and dressed in white outer garments while the rest of the world slides into Satan's immoral abyss. Now I'm nauseous.

Update from today's news. Like many of you, Cos was one of my childhood idols. None of us knew that, for 4 decades, he was a monster. Nearly 30 women have officially come forward with nearly identical stories, and nearly 20 others have also stated that the Cos did likewise to them. You can read the story from today's headlines for details.
