  what do you have to do when you discover someone is a pedophile, someone confided in you, and you know it's true, and the whole picture comes together .

  JWD is a world network of strategic citizens and personalities on the internet and we are civil most of the time (with a little help from Simon)

  We should be very proud.

  On the issue at hand. It is no friend that dumps garbage in your front yard i.e. telling you something as ugly as molesting a child.

  Do not give in to intimidation from the creep. Do what you must to protect any future victims and to defend the ones already harmed by him. Tough times ahead ((((((Avengers)))))) You are going to need a few hugs in the days ahead.

  1932 / 1935 and The Great Multitude,Dying Off Too?

  another watch tower teaching that could shorty cause the society a serious problem is the great multitude of 1932 / 1935.if the great tribulation fails to occur reasonably soon,this too could bring about a major change, i.e generation teaching,while the two teachings may appear to be linked,the dates are almost twenty years apart in application,i.e.

  1914 --1932 / 35.. the great multitude of 1932 / 35 who stood up to be identified are well into their late 70's ,early 80's at this time,2003.just as the long standing "this generation" has been reinterpreted,perhaps a new doctrinal reinterpretation of the great multitude will be made, adversely affecting untold numbers of potential ones who will come out of "the great tribulation"as "the great mutitude "of survivors.. i know that the society is trying to put off these teachings,"this generation,"the great tribulation" "the great multitude" and "armageddon" into the indefinite future,however life goes on,people grow old and die.so, how long can they keep this up.. my guess is that the winds of internal turmoil will get stronger,the near future will be telling as members of the great multitude die off.as they see another hoped for fulfillment die off along with them.

  blueblades,who has felt the effects of these things too.what are your thoughts?.

  Before I left I had begun to wonder about the older ones in the cong. In my KH the geriactrics were in the majority. Hardly a month went by that an anouncement of another death wasn't made. The older ones seem to know all the original people from the old days when there were just one or two cong. here so when one of the old guys die it is announced in all the KHs

  The millions that were not supposed to die are dying. How sad for them. Their life is almost over, they see their lifelong friends and companions dying. What must they be feeling about now? They literally gave their lives for the WT. Every possible day was spent selling magazines. No time to smell the roses. No time to give their children a happy carefree childhood. Their children are now questioning the whole scene. What was it all for? How sad.

  Why do the watchtower studies have no doctrine anymore?

  over the last few years, it has become apparent that the teachings which were popular in the 80s, the ones that have not changed (unlike the generation of 1914), are no longer being mentioned in the study articles.. teachings like the 1200 days, the gentile times, even 1914 is not referenced with 607bce anymore.

  it seems as if each article is nothing more than a lesson, how can we do more, give more, donate more etc.. it seems that only their books contain the doctrine they expound, the watchtower has no doctrine.. what happened to the articles on hellfire, immortality of the soul, condition of the dead?

  these are never mentioned in wt articles.. the quality of the articles is so dumb it's laughable.

  MacHislopp has been tracing the Society?s history of doctrinal revision from 1874 to 1914 as the presence of Jesus.

  The 1874 date was promoted, full steam ahead, during the early years. Then in the late 20's the mention of that all important fact was hard to find. In 1929 in the book ?Prophesy? the 1874 date was mentioned. Then the next year, 1930, a cleverly worded hint was published.

  * Quote from the year 1930:

  ? The Golden Age ? page 503

  "In Matthew 24 Jesus gives his disciples some proofs that he would be present...These tangible evidences will be the beginning of the work of destroying the present evil conditions and systems. This work of destruction began in 1914... If it is true that Jesus has been present since the year 1914, then it must be admitted that nobody has seen Him with his natural eyes." -

  Notice that they do not come right out and say that Jesus? Parousia began in 1914.

  Then our resident historian, MacHislopp, found the next mention of the all important date of the Presence of the King in 1943. In the book ? The Truth Shall Make You Free?.

  Why the gap of so many years?

  Why are they avoiding heavy doctrinal issues now?

  Is a major shift in long cherished doctrine on the horizon?

  Are they watching the WorldWide Church of God to see if they can survive a major doctrinal switch? Are they wanting to follow the same path?

  I sure don?t know, but this inquiring mind does wonder.

  He says that his case disproves the "pedophile paradise"

  He is given free rein in the cong. No one is told about his lustful leanings (except the elders)

  He is encouraged to go door to door with no restrictions and to conduct a Bible study with unsuspecting families.

  When he acts on his depraved thoughts the authorities are not called.

  The child's parents are left in the dark.

  He still has contact with the child.

  His faithful "stand by your man" girlfriend agrees to wait for him to get reinstated and to marry him later.

  He is DF'd but no one in the congregation knows why, opening up the opportunity to go back and have business as usual in a year or less.

  He gets no consequences for his crime and so he is permitted to believe that he is the victim.

  What part does not fit the "pedophile paradise"?

  What gets me is that out of all the people he told, 12-step group, girlfriend, elders; NO ONE - not any one of those adults thought it was their responsibility to inform the parents. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Then add to the list the wives of the elders. What is wrong with those people?

  I am so sick at heart over that poor confused baby girl.

  Another JW related murder/suicide

  i just spoke to my mother this morning, who at the end of the conversation said, almost as a side note, that my brother's ex-wife's brother shot his estranged wife and then himself last saturday.

  my former sister-in-law and her brother were both raised as second (or third) generation jws.

  i only met her brother a few times, never cared for him (misogynist prick), but he was a jw at the time i met him.

  Nathan that was an exellent letter to the editor. Educating the public about the WTS is the only way it will be brought to it's knees.

  Take away the facade of saintliness. Expose them for what they really are.

  This is what I see as the one main way to finish them off.

  Public knowledge of what the Jehovah's Witnesse are really like

  They have convinced the World (tm) that they are so saintly. They have built a wall of secrecy. The us and them mentality of the average dub builds the wall higher. Because the world is ignorant of what the JW's are really like they can hide behind the wall they have built. Whenever a JW does some whacko thing, like the teacher in Florida who taped the boy to the chair, the media never fails to mention the WT connection. The media sees it as an unusual thing for the member of the saintly JW's to do whatever.

  Public attention through the media is the key. It doesn't matter what the issue. Any one of a dozen negative WT behaviours will do. Even letters to the editor of a local newspaper once a month would be effective. Distribution of leaflets at community affairs, such as art shows, etc. Don't target the brain dead dubs. Target the thinking, tax paying, voting public.

  what does it take to become a circuit overseer?.

  the watchtower bible track society relies very heavily upon these men to make sure that they have a tight grip on each congregation.. the structure for control that the wt.

  has in place needs it's eyes and ears to find out whether or not a congregation is following all the rules that the wt has laid out for it.

  The WTS

  had obscure beginnings

  to be sure. And held some off the wall stupid beliefs. But it grew into a muli-million dollar publishing corporation that still has some stupid hurtful beliefs. It now will shun anyone who does not subscribe to it's unique beliefs. These self same beliefs may get the same, "I can't believe they said that!" reaction 20 years from now. (ok I can't get the red out)

  My point in posting this was to show how outlandish they were in 1974. They have changed some things but kept other far worse and hurtful things. The attitude toward women has remained the same. It is not so blatantly spelled out in the magazines anymore but you have to remember that many people my age had their attitudes formed by these crackpots. I came into the religion in 1965. My attitudes and beliefs were formed then. The males from that era are the elders and the females are the elderettes teaching the younger women how to be a "proper" christian women. Many of the practices of the loyal dubs, especially the ones in for a long time, are not the result of this years "light". There is a lot of "urban legend" mentality at work in the Kingdom Hall.

  It's great to defend your belief system, but when it is cracked, get it fixed.
