When I went to the memorial, not one person spoke to me, not one!
"I know you" - ha! What kind of an intro is that?
so i have a jw relative now living with me so i went to the memorial this year with him since he is new to the hall and doesn't really know anyone.
the warmth was amazing (insert sarcasm here).
one witness couple that has been stopping by and relatively new to the area saved us seats so they talked to me, one other sister and her brother talked to me.

ok, so didnt jesus supposedly say "the end will come when you least expect it"?
(or words to that effect...).
so, with so many witnesses running around in an excited way talking about "100 years since the kingdom...etc" and "it may be our last chance to pioneer etc"..."may be the last international conventions".....doesnt this mean then that the end can not come now??!!.
Are you sure he said that? Where?

To a JW does this not mean that the end will come when the worldlings least expect it? Not themselves...
i was surprised awhile ago when researching about cremation how until maybe 1940's or 1950's even catholics forbid cremation.
the reason for no cremation was because they believed in a physical resurrection and cremation was a rejection of physical resurrection.
it seems nowadays no christians believe in a earthly resurrection, only that they all go to heaven.
John, the bible also references a 'new earth'
Eom, the belief in a corporeal, earthly resurrection is probably a minority view within worldwide christianity, but it's still a common belief and not an insignificant minority. Bishop NT Wright is probably the highest profile advocate of this hope, but far from the only one.
the best game of the whole football year is almost always the champions league final.. it's on tv live right now and this year both finalists are from madrid.. real madrid v athletico madrid.. the talent on show for the next 90 minutes is stunning.. diego costa has been subbed already - hamstring.. if you can't get the game in your country you can follow the updates here....
Diego Simeone is a genius!
It's atletico btw, no h. :)
here are the excerpts from an article (published in an international magazine the world renewal, april issue of 2014) written by a former jw.
he says he started searching for an organization that appeared on the world scene after 1935, which follow jesus 100%.
if jesus is real, there should be some organization copying him 100% knowingly or unknowingly.
Hey abiather! Did you get bored of posting as ExWTslave?

it was nuts!
we got love bombed right when we got there.
You must be a cool guy, most people get treated like crap when they start missing meetings.

"if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.
This doesn't matter, I know JWs have the truth because they don't believe in hell or the Trinity. Yes, JWs have made mistakes, but Jehovah doesn't care about that because the governing body are just imperfect men, Jehovah only cares about other people's mistakes.

pretty interesting read.
especially since the one who sparked it is an unbaptized person.
I don't know what Cedars does for a living but he should have been an investigative reporter, he does some great work.
