Where are the EXJW Feminist Philosophers?
by Luther bertrand ini am working, more in the planning stages, where i am going to offer a commentary on the caleb and sophia cartoons that the org puts out.
i noticed a heavily patriarchal bent to the narrative that these cartoons offer.
i would really enjoy working with someone who has an academic background in feminist philosophy, or at least someone knowledgeable.

I look forward to seeing the results Luther, I think this is an aspect of JWism I'd like to see critiqued more, I think patriarchy has certainly been unhelpful to my father for example, and my parents relationship of course. -

Tal - Are you keeping up to date with the feminist movement in the past few years?
If you were you would know my comment is not even controversial.Hmmm... it is quite controversial really! I've read quite a lot of feminist works and think I'm reasonably up to date. I haven't really picked up on any 'misandry'

I don't want to claim that anyone is not a Christian but I must admit that I don't really get how the Americans who talk about things like 'taking our country back' and 'returning it to Christian values' often seem to think they have to get there by doing the opposite of what Jesus said to do i.e. 'love your enemies' 'welcome the stranger' etc... -

Help to build a "Guide to Your New Faith"
by Defianttruth ini have seen many people ask the question, "if its not the truth what else is there?
" i imagine that most people want to remain in a christian faith so i want to build a matrix for one to use as a guide in finding a new church if he or she feels a need to worship.
i personally don't attend any church and i will keep my personal beliefs to myself.

Google a church before you join! Just because there's no negative information it's not a guarantee that it's a good church, but it helps.
Join a church which provides access to its accounts. You have a right to know where your money is going, if you donate any.
Join a church which has good child safety procedures, because children are important.

Was sorry to read this but seems likely to make a full recovery which is good news. I still think it would be better for him to stay off twitter and maybe even out of the limelight generally, but not better off dead of course.
I see the church of England got criticised for offering to pray for him, but I doubt Dawkins was bothered by it.

I don't like our aggressive foreign policy or the way our culture glorifies violence, having said that I hope I don't feel the same moralistic disdain for soldiers as I used to. -
