Are there any doctrines which all Christian religions follow.
by jwfacts ini cannot think of a single doctrine that is so clearly laid out in the bible that every christian sect teaches the same point.
are there any doctrine where there is total consensus amongst all christian religions, including jehovah's witnesses?.

Actually it is not at all uncommon to claim God is genderless and referred to as male for cultural purposes or whatever. I am not sure how this would cause the whole f**king mess to crash down?
That idea of vicarious punishment is at the heart of the Pauline version of the work of Jesus. I think that is the closest thing to an idea that is common to all christian denominations.
In fact, this is rejected by the orthodox Church, which represents a pretty significant number of Christians!

) peterson has been making waves by opposing the demands of pc "social justice warriors" at the u of t to use their chosen gender neutral pronouns.
in his judgement proposed "bill-c16" will make his non-compliance illegal - an egregious threat to free speech.. professor peterson is an intelligent and thoughtful academic who has found himself at the focus of attacks from the neo-marxists that are dominating the conversation at elite universities.

I have never referred to anybody as Ms in my life, I have also never referred to a man as Mx and never will.
I'm glad that we have heroes like Cofty around to stop us from those scary SJWs who want us to *gasp* be nice to people who aren't straight white men.

I came here three years ago for support and to make friends
by KateWild inthis site is such a great and valuable resource and simon is to be commended for running it for so long.
when i first came i was in such a bad state and really needed support and friendship.
so many posters commented on my threads and showed genuine care some are real life friends, some are facebook friends, some i talk to on the phone and some are forum friends.. i have just realised though that everyone online is not your friend.

I came here three years ago for support and to make friends
by KateWild inthis site is such a great and valuable resource and simon is to be commended for running it for so long.
when i first came i was in such a bad state and really needed support and friendship.
so many posters commented on my threads and showed genuine care some are real life friends, some are facebook friends, some i talk to on the phone and some are forum friends.. i have just realised though that everyone online is not your friend.

Where are the EXJW Feminist Philosophers?
by Luther bertrand ini am working, more in the planning stages, where i am going to offer a commentary on the caleb and sophia cartoons that the org puts out.
i noticed a heavily patriarchal bent to the narrative that these cartoons offer.
i would really enjoy working with someone who has an academic background in feminist philosophy, or at least someone knowledgeable.

Whilst I think wealth and career opportunities are good measures to demonstrate that there is still inequality in the West, I think an even more obvious one is the fact that women are not as safe as men, much more likely to suffer violence or harassment in their homes, work place and in general, which are all good reasons for a feminist movement to continue to exist.
I wonder if the JW brand of patriarchy tends to lead to higher rates of domestic violence then the national averages? I'm not sure there's been any studies on that, though I know it's been well documented on here that JWs are very poor at protecting women and children from the abusers who do exist. -

I look forward to seeing the results Luther, I think this is an aspect of JWism I'd like to see critiqued more, I think patriarchy has certainly been unhelpful to my father for example, and my parents relationship of course. -

If you were you would know my comment is not even controversial.Hmmm... it is quite controversial really! I've read quite a lot of feminist works and think I'm reasonably up to date. I haven't really picked up on any 'misandry'

I don't want to claim that anyone is not a Christian but I must admit that I don't really get how the Americans who talk about things like 'taking our country back' and 'returning it to Christian values' often seem to think they have to get there by doing the opposite of what Jesus said to do i.e. 'love your enemies' 'welcome the stranger' etc...
