Awww Elsewhere! I felt like that last week. I had a fever and sore throat but I was also puking my guts out. The only thing that helped me was lots and lots of sleep. Please, get some rest and drink lots of water.

There's a good reason to go to war with the UK...LOL! It's been awhile since we (U.S.) kicked their butts and maybe we could free Canada from the Queen's figurative headship at the same time. It's time to get rid of these goofy street names anyway. We could change the Queensway to Hockeyway...LOL!
I wouldn't put too much stock in what Cherry says. Any man who dresses that badly can't be entirely sane. He does make a good point about Cricket though. Is that really considered a sport?

Roybatty, I feel for ya. It's sad to see one of the original teams sucking so badly. At least their doing better than the poor Penguins. I feel so bad for Mario Lemieux. He doesn't deserve this. He put his heart and soul into that team.
Gretzky was awesome but I never saw him play without a helmet like Gordie and others did in the old days. Damn! What studs!

That's exactly right. I still remember that before the war took place I thought and said that this would make America less safe against terrorism. It will. The Sunni and Shiite Muslims both blame the "Great Satan", the US, as the one to blame. We are no great liberators in the eyes of the average Iraqi. We're meddlers and instigators to them.
Bush did nothing courageous on Sept. 11th. The policemen and firefighters and average citizens did. If he tries to lay claim to the heroism of the average person on that day than he is a hypocrite. I don't hate the man but, I distrust him as a leader. I don't really like Kerry all that much either. I wish we had more viable options than the two party system. I've voted third party in the past and it did little good which is a damn shame.
Most ex-jw's are not liberals. There are all sorts but, some are more vocal than others. When I watch the Olympics I almost always root for the US. When I watch the Stanley Cup playoffs I always root for my Red Wings. I am very loyal when it comes to my hometown or my home country but, only so far as it makes sense. I won't support my country in an illogical, illegal and ill-informed war. I think most ex-jw's learned to differentiate between loyalty and fanaticism. That makes us a tiny bit smarter than your average person or perhaps just better informed. One of the two...
Bush can use whatever ads he wants and, some if not most, of us will see right through them. I'm still a Libertarian at heart though.

Badger, Domi and Probert are the two greatest gutless thugs of all time. They deserve their place in the Hockey Hall of Fame too some day. Would hockey be as much fun without the brawls? I think I'll stick with Howe for the all time greatest though.

I'm surprised by how many Red Wings got mentioned and, duh, can't believe I failed to mention Gordie Howe. I'm such a traitor but, in my defense I had the flu at the time and wasn't thinking very clearly. Ask anyone who got a pm from me that day *cough* Shotgun *cough*.
