Uggggg.... I'm sick. :(

  Q. What did the sick elevator say to the other?

  A. I think I'm coming down with something.

  Sunday I woke up with a sore throat

  Early monday morning I woke up with a 103.5 fever... I went to my Dr and she said I had an infection in my tonsils and throat and gave me some anti-biotics.

  Early tuesday morning I woke up with a 105.3 fever. I called my Dr and she said not to worry. (How do you not worry about a 105.3 fever?????)

  Later that day my fever finally broke, but I'm still feeling awful.

  My tonsils are covered with white spots and dark red areas and are swollen waaaay too big. Over all, they look real bad. I keep thinking they are going to explode and rot off.

  Ugggg... I feel awful.

  That 105.3 temp is extremely dangerous for an old timer like you...your doctor does not sound to swift!

  Glad to hear your fever broke.

  Quit looking in the mirror at those tonsils.

  Be sure to gargle with warm salt water many times during the day besides taking your antibiotics. And you are taking tylenol to keep the fever down, right?

  Relax, go back to bed and enjoy your day off.

  Poor Elsewhere! If you have a Chinese restaurant nearby that delivers, order some hot & sour soup -- the chicken broth and spices will be good for your throat. Take care of yourself! Sip on ice chips too -- that will help your fever and your throat. Watch lots of movies. Play with the cats. Call us if you need emergency groceries, okay?

  You know... just yesterday I was seriously craving chinese but I could not find one of the MILLION flyers that were left on my door for ordering.

  Before my fever broke I was using ice packs and alternating between tylenol and advil. My Dr. said that when you do that the fever reducing effect is much stronger. (Don't take them at the same time, take one, let the dosage time pass and then take the other....)

  Make yourself a hot toddy....(spelling???).............helps with the sore throat :)

  Oh, and egg drop soup is soothing to the throat, also.....

  Holy crap Elsewhere I think Nina is trying to kill you...

  I've always seen people eat ice cream for tonsil problems not spicy foods....are you sure it's only the tonsils that are going to explode?
