i was looking at another thread.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=24809&site=3.
and was wondering,if i'm not being too forward, what kh did everyone here go to.. i used to go to the cranston kh in ri, usa .
I doubt anyone here went to these congregations so here goes...
1973-1974 Tawas City, MI
1974-1984 Hale, MI
1984-1990 Midland, MI (both North and South cong.'s as we lived on the border and it depended on how vigorously the CO was striving to enforce the rules)
1990-1992 Flint East, MI
1992-2002 NONE!!!
All cong.'s are in the USA cause I need to get out more...LOL
~Aztec
btw I'm most proud of my last congregation..it's shown surprising growth and has more spirit than any of the previous ones!

I hope eveyone enjoyed the test. I found it informative if not necessarily surprising in my case. I think it's important to examine your beliefs from time to time and it's interesting how much your belief structure can change over a lifetime. If I had taken this test even two years ago I'm sure the JW's would have been higher on my list even though I haven't attended on a regular basis in ten years! I'm sure if I take it again in two more years it will shift yet again, although probably not as drasticly as it has over the past two! Hehe...
Good luck to all on your spiritual path...

PS Orbiting the sun, your list was very close to my own!
i don't mean to sound morbid, but we're all mortal.
just as we are wise if we plan for our financial future, we are also wise if we plan for our demise (timely or otherwise), so that our relatives know our wishes and are not burdened with difficult decisions in the case a fatal event befalls us.
so for those of us who are currently unchurched -- we all know that if you wish to "tie the knot" you can quite easily get a "justice of the peace" to perform a wedding.
I want one of those big raucous New Orleans funerals! I want a parade followed by much hedonism and celebratory merrymaking. I guess I want my funeral to mirror my life!

i had a series of random thoughts as i was on my way from illinois to mo to pick up my step-son, barry.
he's 22 and lives on his own.
he makes a living as a plasterer, which is a dying trade.
Yeru,
Thanks for sharing! Although I am far from being a Catholic (or a theist of any sort) I would never scoff at they beauty of the way music can touch your soul. Do they really still think the UN is evil? How funny! I don't think I would have been able to restrain myself!
Oh and btw Greensleeves is a beautiful song..sigh
~Aztec
how do you feel about yourself?
do you struggle with what kind of person that you are?
do you feel happy, empty, or are are you apathetic?
I measure my self worth in how many people really care about me. I no longer pay heed to lip service and other such nonsense. When people tell me with emphasis that they care about me I listen.
Oh yeah and my son thinks I am the coolest mom EVER!!!! You can't beat that!

Aw wednesday, don't worry...for a very long time all my thinking was colored by my JW past. As time has gone on I've developed the ability to think for myself. Happy happy joy joy! Alot of my progress has come through reading philosophy and studying history. If all else fails I've met some very nice Mormons on the web.
