  Good luck hon! I hate it when they try to involve the children in these things. It's a very selfish move! Anyone who truly loves a child, as you obviously do, would not drag them into this. Again good luck and take care!

  i just read a reply on another thread (doesnt really matter which one) in which a person made reference to 2 elders and said that they were not too bright, perhaps inbreeding.

  presumably this was said because the guys acted in a stupid manner in their counseling and were from the american south.

  are southerners really stupid and inbred?

  Okay I meant to post this earlier but I ran out of posts.

  Stinkypantz, I thought Francois' comments were excessive and a bit over the top as well.

  Marcos, I understand your point. (I think)

  Stereotypes can be good and they can be harmful. On a person to person basis they can seperate us and cause us to generalize. I try very hard to keep preconceived ideas of a person based on their nationality/heritage/gender/accent et al from letting me get to know and appreciate their unique perspective. I love people for the most part and I find that superficial things do not really matter as much their life experiences.

  Did that make any sense? I hope it did.

  As far as North vs. South... I am a yankee through and through but I LOVE Southern food and Southern people! Big hugs to all the Southerners with their cute accents!

  Orangefatcat, I showed my son your avatar pic a sec ago and he just cracked up. You are a good friend to the puppy it seems. I am fortunate that I do not have a severe case of S.A.D. I know I can't afford those lights. $200? I wonder sometimes if it is just a mild case of manic/depressive disorder. I find when spring hits I tend to feel quite manic! Thanks for the reply!

  I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. I don't get depressed so much as really down and almost apathetic sometimes. I feel robotic some days. Big floppy dog I so feel for you. Please take care. Hillbilly, you only live a little north of me so I know what you mean. I'm a snooze addict too. Don't know why. I'm sorry Viv, is it really dark there? I doesn't get light here til almost 8 and it's dark by 5:30. I suppose I'm just dreaming of April...

  forgive me just really venting here.

  as some of you may know my mom suffered an accident about 1 month ago, she fell down a flight of stairs.

  luckily she didnt break anything, she just had a minor concussion and some stitches on her head.
