"Apostates"! Do You Know We Control the Watchtower - BY REACTION?
by metatron inonce upon a time, a very long time ago, i told a wayward witness friend of mine that i thought that the society was fascist.. he immediately corrected me "nope, they're reactionary".. he was right!
.. and that's the beauty of it!.
for many of us, reform of the watchtower has become a fool's dream.

the inactive need to put in time or be disassociated
When I do go to the meetings I do tune much of it out. But when was this change? is it anywhere in print?

Believers ? I need your input ? elder called and left my mother in tears
by acsot in[quick update: almost a year ago my mother had two strokes and a heart attack.
needless to say, we haven?t stepped foot in a kingdom hell since then.
some of the rank and file have been kind and supportive, so i have them over to the house once in awhile (i?m also doing it for selfish reasons since it gives me a break and i can get out)]

ascot,
I think you are really to be commended for how you are caring for your mom. Reading the Bible to her will probably really help her to quench some of the guilt she may be feeling.
Why don't you just start from the gospel accounts. Older people really like listening about Jesus. It will make her feel that she is doing her part.
I feel for the older ones and the guilt that has been put on them from this blasted cult.
Instead of enjoying their golden years the older ones are so worried if they can't go to all the meetings and if they can't play the "knock knock game". This is sickening.

When I was growing up here in Canada young unmarried sisters were not allowed. UNLESS YOU HAD SOMETHING THEY WANTED then they would make an exception. I don't know whether that has changed at the present.

almost all the other kids are home-schooled.
i was rather shocked.

Home schooling can be very effective if it done correctly and in conjuction with the local school and curriculum. It's a lot of work thought. Its a responsability that I would never want to put on myself.
I know many Jw that have and are home schooling their children. Many of these parents are high school drop outs.
I feel for these children. They are not being equipped to make it in the real world. School is more that the 3R's.
Why do these Jw parents do it? Partly it stems for the Watchtower mentality that the world is garbage and can't offer anything good.
But one day these kids are going to have to be in the world and rub shoulders with wordly people and they wont be able to cope. How sad.

Governing Buzzard Series
by Amazing ini am starting a new series called the governing buzzards ... it will feature bazaar, twisted, foolish, and strange teachings and policies of the watchtower organization.
anything from how they try to make themselves look really good ... to how they really appear when the sheeps clothing is removed ... ... yes, thre will be some embarassing moments for them ... ... and ... some shocking revelations ... but mostly, the governing buzzards will just appear ridiculus ... .i hope to make you laugh ... ... and maybe get mad but at the end of the day, relax and enjoy life ... ... some of this might even make you a little sick ... but ... i will try hard not to put you to sleep.
... perhaps parts of this series will make you think ... but, to the watchtower buzzards monitoring this board, you need to know that being an ex-jw apostate, ex-anointed is: ... because we no longer go door-to-door like suited robots ... no more silly, boring, never ending meetings ... ... and we have learned that we are not weeping and gnashing our teeth ... but instead we are doing great !!!

Can the Governing Body be called a "KILLER CULT?
by Blueblades inin 1993 david koresh led more than eighty branch davidians to their deaths in waco texas.. in 1978 some nine hundred followers perished in a mass suicide in jonestown, guyana, under the command of their cult leader, jim jones.. these events sparked great media attention because of their sensational nature, and because so many deaths occurred at once.. but another cult has, over the years, sacrificed untold thousands of lives.these deaths occurring quietly and one at a time, has so far escaped large - scale scrutiny.. more children are dying right now,in obedience to the governing body's ban on blood transfusion, than perished in the fire at waco.this enforcement on blood transfusions reaches into clinics and hospitals.. the governing body instructs jw's.
who are employees in ciinics and hospitals to turn over information from confidential patient records to them.. they also conduct bedside trials of members who accept forbidden medical treatments.they even instruct parents to kidnap their children from hospital beds, and children themselves to resist doctors violently and to give false testimony in court.. how can a major religion headed by a governing body quietly lead victims to early and needless deaths without a public outcry?.
would you say that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses can be called,or are, a "killer cult".. blueblades

Would you say that the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses can be called,or are, a "KILLER CULT".
ABSOLUTELY
For the longest time I thought the the "dirty dozen" (give or take a few) were just old deceived men who really meant no harm.
In recent years I have learned that these men are evil and they very well know what they are doing.
The murders of Waco and the murders of Guyana are nothing in comparison with the murders the governing body has and is continuing to commit with the printed kool-aid.
