if there is a circuit assembly this week, book study overseers should announce the convention location and dates at their regularly scheduled book studies.

Used to be that if you got a crappy hotel from the list, you could report it to the rooming department. Now the letter comes with a disclaimer. If you have trouble with a particular hotel you are on your own.

So they force you to choose a place from their list. (not many on the list) and if you have trouble too bad for you.

Hi Genesis,

Leaving the org and their deeply entrenched ideas is a long process.

What your are feeling is perfectly normal.

Don't give your search up. Keep reading and educating yourself. YOu will eventually

get to a point where you will be able to look at wt with an objective mind and really see it

for what it is.

Where does all the money go?

ok, so, i heard recently that the wtb&ts takes in over a billion dollars in the us alone.

that's a lot of cash.

it seems to me, from my limited vantage point, that the society is indeed doing the things it says it's doing with the money - support co's and do's, building kingdom halls, and so on.

This is my uneducated guess:

The money is used to accumulate real estate. At last years summer assembly it was brought out that the assets of the kingdom are not only spiritual but also earthly. These earthly assets would include buildings and branches around the world.

the domain "watchtower.ca" has been transferred to wts (i assume they will have it pointing to borg.org watchtower.org asap).

my copies of the site have been destroyed, the files deleted, and my wt library cd has been destroyed, in accordance with the settlement agreement which will afford a "discontinuance" of their suit against me.
