  I Just Talked To An Old JW Friend About The Dumbness of The Organization

  he came by my work and we talked.

  he pretty much became irregular (as a publisher), moved away and recently moved back into the area.

  he's now a ms again and he's bemoaning his lot in life and sees a lot of stupidity within the "truth".

  One of the Governing Body had a stroke yesterday

  on may 19th, theodore jaracz had a stroke.

  he's in very serious condition in the hospital.. that's all the information i have for now.. barb.

  they pronounce his name brother Ha-raks.

  FUNNY I ALWAYS PRONOUNCED it JACKASS. Seriously, I don't know why.

  At any rate, nothing against him personally. A few years ago I was so angry I would have been so happy to hear that a member of the governing body was suffering and would certainly have said "good riddance".

  Today I feel sorry for the poor smuck. RIP whenever that might be!!

  what was i thinking my entire life?

  during the first part about submission, everyone gave the same comments about being obedient to the elders even though you may not agree with them.

  and they talked about submission to the organization no matter what.. no one, i mean no one raised the possibility that the counsel or instructions might be wrong, or harmful.

  i went today because i wanted to hear the comments on this wt article.. it did not disappoint.

  one comment that summed things up:.

  GAAAWd, it was hard to gag the rag study today. I felt a little vomit coming up my mouth several times. I tried very hard to tune out.

  it's amazing how the congregation i was in promoted passive-aggressive behavior.

  whenever you saw someone behaving inappropriately, you were supposed to run to the elders to tattle.

  in some cases these were things that were none of our business or should have been handled privately.. there was a pioneertm who was having personal problems of some sort.

  An elder member of my family was assigned by his body to council a sister on her hairy legs. I guess she shaved once or twice but then went back to her old hary self.

  My Grandmother has died today

  this morning, my grandmother died at age 92. she was a jw and i never told her that i quit years ago (but i guess my father told her).

  fortunately, i had a chance to see her a last time this tuesday when i tried to see her and learnt she was in hospital.

  my father had not told me that she was in hospital.
