I lie now. Every month as a matter of fact.
But then again maybe
its not really a lie. Afterall I pioneered for 20 years when the hourly requirements were 100 and 90. I figure I am just "borrowing" from the past.
i've read a few people mention making up the figures for the field service reports, and i want to find out how common it is.
i never lied on my report.
sometimes i'd round up 15 minutes if i'd mentioned jw stuff to my brother that month, but that wasn't falsifying.

Waiting with eager anticipation and good wishes for sweet Candace and her family
dear friends:.
forty-five years ago i was out in service with an elder, and we came upon a house where the owners kindly received us.
this was not so unusual as the family was jehovah's witnesses.
sending you a nice vibes and prayers and good wishes.
here is what got my spidey senses tingling: paragraph 16, reference to daniel p mannix book, was wondering if his statement was mis-quoted so i did my research.......but was even more shocked when i saw this: .
from amazon dot com reviews................ probably the most provocative work of historical fiction published this century,"those who are about to die" is pure mannix at his best.
a uncensured exploration of what likely took place in the circuses of ancient rome.
As other have mentioned and in all fairness, historical fiction is generally based on events sorrounding the era and way of life of the time. Characters are usually fictional-but the setting is for the most part true to the events of the period.
our congregation is rationing regular bibles like they're gold bars.
i was told that bethel is out of stock!
anyone else hear about this?
Funny you should mention this because there are no bibles to be had in the local congregations. --The idea is swirling around that maybe a revised edition is in the works. --Only rumor--
well, i finally found him on facebook!.
his name is tollie padgett.
he was my congregation overseer (before the "elder" changeover) when i was in prison in seagoville in the late 60's.. i've been searching for him for years and years.
Just be a friend. Tell him how much you have thought of him all these years, what you learned from him, what an amazing role model he was for you. Tollie sounds like an amazing human being.
thanks for taking the time to take a peek.
any comments, positive or negative are welcome.
one jw has already posted it as spam, which i thought was a riot.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-tcy86as6i&feature=youtu.be.
I like it . But hard to see. too dark
i am new here and this is my first post although i have lurked here for a couple years.
i started having doubts about the org back then and my curiosity overcame my fear of so-called apostate websites so here i am.
i just resigned being an elder 2 weeks ago.
Happy to hear and very glad for you. I bet you feel like a ton of bricks has finally lifted from your back. You are young and have plenty of time to make a life for yourself and hopefully for your family apart from the org.
warm regards
jehovahs witnesses and psychiatric diagnoses?.
today i added a new article to my blog sharing information from a 1983 study published in the journal for the scientific study of religion addressing religious affiliation and psychiatric diagnoses.
this article pulls information from an excellent academic study that is often misunderstood and therefore underutilized for its value.
Thanks Marvin. Interesting study. But we don't need a study to figure out the there are many psychos among the the ranks of the jw's. Just saying
