The memorial in my end was filled with disfellowshipped, inactive and relatives of witness families. It was was same old faces that have been showing up for the last 20 years. I watched very carefully and not ONE person was present because of the invitation mania.

Do You Believe In ANYTHING That The Witnesses Taught At This Point In Your Life?
by minimus infor example, they pride themselves in what they don't believe such as immortal souls, the trinity, hellfire, etc.. some exjws still believe it is the "truth" and support the basics.. .

Botswana: enjoyed reading your experience. The treatment of the witnesses is not surprising. For the most part their love is conditional and extremely superficial. The love is dependant of whether one goes to their blasted cult meetings. Stop going to them and they stop caring. It's just the way it is and for the most part, many of us have experience their actions
Your story was a fascinating read. Your relationship with your father was truly unique.
Thanks for sharing.

In All Honesty Would You Have NOT Given Blood To Your Child If He or She Needed it?
by minimus inas a "faithful witness", i never had to deal with this on a personal level.
i imagine the pressure must be extreme with the elders and others "supporting" you to do the right thing.. do you think you would have given blood to your family member, especially your child if you were in that situation..

I am not sure what I would have done. Unless it touches your skin its hard to predict. I do know of staunch jws who would give blood if push came to shove.
I know a jdub that confided that if any of her kids needed blood, she would allow it secretly. Then when confronted by the elders she would lie and say she didn't allow blood. I wonder how many secretly take it.

Depression is not a death sentence. There are many types of depression: Major, anxiety, bipolar, etc. The best advice is to put yourself under the care of a good phychiatrist. Figure out out what type of depression you have. With a good treatment-a mix of drugs and support, there is no reason why you can't enjoy life to the full.
All the best.
