Funny, over the weekend, I was sitting at the one day assembly and thinking : is there no one among these 800 + people that have figured things out. While reading this thread and reading how many new ones have joined, made me realize that among those 800 + there may have been someone who has figured things out too. I don't comment much, but read mostly every day. I want to welcome all the newbies and wish you all the best on the next chapters of your lives without the watchtower appendage.

I completely missed this thread. I'm glad I found it this morning. I am also glad TTATTelder that your "awakening" has begun. So much for holy spirit behind appointments. What a farce ! Ray's books were also instrumental for me. I hope that you will also read In Search of Christian Freedom. As others have pointed out, take it easy with your family and I also am of the opinion that a slow fade is better than the "bull in the china" approach. It took me a lot longer than hubby to sort things out. All the best to you as you embark on this wonderful new journey.

In fact she was disappointed because the next article will be a summary at the circuit assembly and she won't be able relish it fully.
I don't get it? I don't understand how anybody can sit through this new light and not have a little bell go off that says: "wait a minute this has gone too far".
The problem is that most don't consider it new light, only adjustments. And I believe that most are only focusing on the chart and taking from it what they want to believe, which is the end is near.

Do you make your own soup?

i have a huge kitchen at my disposal (not my own); vegetables, cans of this and that and spices are scattered about, prepared to go into a cauldron of minestrone i started a few days ago.
i'm preparing ahead so as to freeze the leftovers to heat up later at home over my hotplate.. nothing like a 6-burner gas range to simmer over!.

Like Scully, I make soup weekly. this fall I want to make more squash soups. My family's favourites are:
- Italian wedding soup (my family calls it "brodo").
- Minestrone (minestra)
- Potato Lentil
- Beef barley
- Rice and cabbage
- Tomato tortellini and lentil
- Pasta e fagioli
I think I'll go make a pot today

I didn't intend to create a debate, but thanks to all for your responses.
One thing is for sure, watchtower's recent changes with respects to the the governing body being the faithful slave, in part, is a knee jerk reaction to the increase of members taking the emblems.
the Reno situation undermines the governing body's position as" king of the castle". I think that as more and more start partaking, the gb's need for power is going to increase and they will go to extreme measures to prove that they alone are commissioned by God. Its a train wreck.
I am personally happy that these groups are springing up. The bigger the thorn in watchtower's side the better.
