good afternoon,.

i am writing to give you a quick update about our ongoing statutory inquiries into safeguarding and charities linked to jehovah’s witnesses.. as you may know, one of our inquiries is into watch tower bible and tract society of britain.

we opened this inquiry in 2014. watch tower then initiated what turned out to be protracted litigation against us.

it appears that watchtower is distancing itself from the blood fractions.

the new "blood card" doesn't mention them and any mention of blood in the watchtower ignores fractions.

i wander if they are going back to their hard stance.

I came here three years ago for support and to make friends

this site is such a great and valuable resource and simon is to be commended for running it for so long.

when i first came i was in such a bad state and really needed support and friendship.

so many posters commented on my threads and showed genuine care some are real life friends, some are facebook friends, some i talk to on the phone and some are forum friends.. i have just realised though that everyone online is not your friend.

But knowing who is and isn't your friend is something that exJWs need to learn when they exit. Some have got terrible social skills and get hurt. I am hurt now. It took me three years to realise who really is a friend and who is not. Hopefully this will help newly awakened ones trying to start a new life and build a circle of friends.

Dear Kate: Remember that you don't need others to be happy. True, a good friend can enhance your life but your expressions reveal an emotional dependency on others. Sorry you are hurt! Look for happiness within yourself and not by what others can bring to you.
