  i took my wife to see bombay dreams at the theatre last weekend.

  (recommended) after the show and while wandering around leicester sq, i noticed a guy selling magazines.

  i remember growing up and thinking that there was no way i would have kids ......... why ???

  ....... because i did not want to raise them the way i was raised, in the borg.

  i went through hell, why put a defenceless child through that.

  I remember a talk at a district convetion in the mid-eighties entitled "responsible procreation". In essence this talk discouraged having children because of the times.

  I remember it so well because I was in my young twenties and it really shaped the way I viewed having a family.

  I was determined to remain childless because of THEM.

  Thank goodness for those accidents that sometimes happen in marriages. That was the best thing that ever happened to me.

  I feel so bad when I see young couples in the org that are sacrificing a family to please some old goats in Brooklyn.

  Easy question for JW's.........

  it was brought out at recent meeting that we must stay close to "jehovah's organization" and follow closely the "admonitions" found in the watchtower magazine because we know that the information found in the watchtower is given directly to us by jehovah himself.

  question for the believing witness?

  1) if by your own teaching's you believe that jehovah is a god of truth and cannot ever tell non -truths, how do you explain why the watchtower has changed it's "understanding" of scriptures so many times?

  Those are great questions. I still go to meetings and if I would ask any of those questions the apostasy antenna would go up.

  What would the elders do if I returned to the hall

  i'm inactive since many years.

  the last time i went in the field service was in 1996 or 1997. i'm inactive on and off since 1991. didn't go in the field service since 1997. attended maybe 40 meetings in the last 6 years.

  what would happen if i decided to go back to the hall for good, and i would tell the elders i don't want you to visit me, or question me on the last 10 years or so.
