But now we're all truly brothers and sisters. Not because we believe alike, but because we ARE alike. We're all humans, for gods sake. I love you, each and every one of you.
You are very endearing . Here is a big HUG (((()))))

hey guys,.
listen, we were all "brothers" and "sisters" at one time and it didn't really mean shit.
i'd've turned my back on the lot o' ya when i was a jw and i found out you were apostates.. but now we're all truly brothers and sisters.

we went to our favorite beach, met up with some of our local friends.
we don't have much in the way of details - but heard some devasting news that ari (well known to seattle area exjw's and i am sure by many on the board) killed himself sometime over last weekend.
he was so excited about moving to maui, and starting a new life here.
if you are not a Jehovah's Witness don't bother
There is christianity at its best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very sad for this tradegy. All my condolences to those that were very close to him.

i never thought i would do one of those infamous goodbye i cant take this board anymore posts where the person shows up again a week later and looks like an idiot.
when i had enough of this board and needed a little break i would just quietly leave for a few months and hopefully nobody noticed.
that is not the case this time.
I have read everyone of your posts and enjoyed you immensely. I wish I had the chance to meet you in person.
Good luck

just a question: if you are still jws (for any reason, many just can`t leave because their entire families are wrapped around it, etc), but don`t believe in it, and lead a "double life", how do you cope with going door to door?
i just can`t imagine how it must feel like to go out there and try to tell people at the doors or in the streets things you know are just bs!
how do you deal with that?
It's hard enough for them without other self righteous know alls telling them what they should or should not be doing
Thank you yesidid,
It is very hard. I am playing the role for my aged parents. It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to put up with the crap at the meetings and to go door to door.
I applaud those of you that have been able to cut apron strings from mother. It is my hope that I will be able to do it.
In the meantime please go light on me and others on this board that have not yet cut ties completely.

It's really easy to fake it down my parts. Most of the elders and ministerial servants don't like service. This is very obvious. They usually work with their families and then after 1/2 they disappear.
When I am out with my husband (the biggest apostate down these parts) we push the screws of doorbells or we leave tract in mailbox.
If I am out with someone else, I can put up a good front. I pioneered for so many years, I can usually outdo any of their presentations.
But I have to admit it is getting harder to keep up this facade. I don't know how much longer I can keep it up.

i was walking around the block and at the end of the street there was this couple out in the yard cleaning it up, raking the leaves and old grass.
i mentioned that it was a never ending job.
they said," we are just cleaning the yard for the old lady that lives here, she isn't able to do it anymore, we live across the street.
Jw's don't do good out of the goodness of their hearts. They do it always with an ulterior motive. That motive is to preach and to convert.
I have also experienced that many "wordly" people are good and will render aid unconditionally. Some put the jw's to shame.

well i'm finally doing it.
i'm getting braces again.
back when i was quite younger, i had removable braces.
My husband needs braces and he is in his mid forties. The orthodontist told him it would help his TMJ. He is thinking about it. wanna
I am going too tonight.

song 5. note: congregations are not to move their service meeting for the week of january 2 to an earlier night unless the circuit overseer is visiting.
in every congregation, the convention insert should be considered on the service meeting as scheduled.
if there is a circuit assembly this week, book study overseers should announce the convention location and dates at their regularly scheduled book studies.
Used to be that if you got a crappy hotel from the list, you could report it to the rooming department. Now the letter comes with a disclaimer. If you have trouble with a particular hotel you are on your own.
So they force you to choose a place from their list. (not many on the list) and if you have trouble too bad for you.
