On time a sister was giving her talk pretending to be talking on the phone. Well, a mouse started going up the cord. She saw it but continued to give her talk. All of a suddent two elders come with buckets from either side of the stage and try to catch this mouse. One fell flat on his face. All the time the sister is talking faster and faster. The audience just sat there and roared. It spiced us the meeting a little

i have had something strike very close to home and i thought i might share it incase someone out there might be thinking the same thing and is trying to put their finger on it.

You are so right. I feel that I have a stronger faith now than i ever had in the my years of unconditional attachment to the organization. Those higher ups really have a lot to pay for hindering millions from a trrue relationship with their creator.

A few weeks ago elders at my hall had an elders meeting. They were told that the Canadian branch wants to have 20% of publishers pioneer fothe month of April. The PO handed pioneer slips and told his fellow elder body to fill out the application and hand them in the next meeting. So there is a great push to pioneer during these campaigns.

every time a circuit and district overseer visited our congregation,the elders always wanted a show of hands from the congregation to see if we would pay for their car expenses and travel.sometimes the congregation would pay for airline tickets.it was always approved.. do you know if the idea came from the local congregations to pay?
did the wts send out letters to each congregation to see if they would pay?
we know that the wts always get what they want.. it's amazing how we paid $250-$400 for each overseer visit and the wts paid nothing..
I don't know where it all started but C.O. and D.O. are not hurting financially. I think of the CO that visits the congregation I attend.T He visits roughly 20 congregations per circuit. Most of the congregations resolve to pay his expenses. If the expense is $100.00 x20 = $2,000.00. They visit the circuit twice . That is $4,000.00 per year. Add to this all the money gifts they get from different members in the congregation. Let's assume 5 dubs give him 20.00 each. That's another 100.00 per week $100.00x20= $2,000.00. They visit again that's another $2,000.00. In a year they may get a minimum of $10,000 tax free.
On top of that the circuit puts him up in a nice appartment. The circuit gives him a car. Society gives him an allowence. Meals are provided for him and his wife. They get wined and dined. Pretty good life I would say.

That is a real sore spot for me. In a conversation with my father I told him how watchtower had denied me an education. His response was "they never told you not to go. I never told you not to go". But he never encouraged me to go either.
I was bitter for a long time.

i have seen here some people critisise him as not being a really heartfelt opponent of the wts, but my view is that he was quite honest about his expressed motives against the cult.
with his revelations he gave a lot of momentum to the ex jw movement (the apostate organisation according to the jws) and offered valuable assistance to those seeking to shake off the ideological and social dependance on the oppressive cult.

I heard some criticism about Ray Franz too. What else could the man do. Thanks to his books hundreds have seen the "light". The man is a true gentleman. Sometimes you catch more flies with honey. He sure did
