  Pray for the Governing Body

  i was told that at the 2010 annual meeting, jws were asked to pray for the governing body to remain(?

  ) discreet and make wise decisions.. please include this in your prayers..

  how do you leave the organization?

  what do you say to your loved ones that you'll rarely if ever talk to again?

  i want to know what some of you who have left the organization have said to parents, friends, or others close to you as you were leaving as to your reasons..

  so what silly things have you been counselled on or simply been told off for?.

  back in my early 20's, i had a pair of comfy old jeans that started to tear in about 3 places on the leg.

  it was the fashion at the time so not only did they feel great to wear, they also looked 'in', not that i cared for that, but it was a bonus .

  Have your JW Relatives Explained about Generation/Overlap Change to You ?

  after reading on the way out's thread about his mom explaining the generation overlap to him it kicked this idea into my head to make this thread .

  i thought it would be helpful to see if anybody here has had jw relatives or friends try to explain this " generation overlap " theory to you as a faded or inactive witness and what happened in the conversations.

  so please feel free to post your experiences.

  Her: I understood it the way you did.

  Me: and how do you think I understood it.

  Her: The way you wrote in your notes.

  Me: So what did you get out of that

  Her: The same that everyone else got out of it.

  I kid you not this was an actual conversation with some one at my home. LOL

  pierce, tied the overlap theory directly to fred franz's lifetime.. did anyone else catch this?.

  evidently (and i'm paraphrasing), anyone anointed after franz's death in 1992 is not of the 'generation'.. 5th.
