  the wt have lost in their attempt to stop the uk charity commission's inquiry into their affairs.

  think this development is inevitable. Every other charity organisation in the UK who works with children has mandatory DBS checks for volunteers. It is outrageous that the Watchtower gets away with ignoring basic child welfare procedures.

  You can only imagine the implications of every elder - and possibly MS - being made to have a criminal records check. How many thousands would just resign rather than reveal their past?

  I wonder if this is the reason for the new theocratic meeting without the word SCHOOL is to avoid these criminal record checks. After all the theocratic ministry school has lots of kids.

  hello everybody,i've been lurking for a while and since i really adore reading the biggest part of the posts, especially this italian ( american) guy about his experiences at bethel in the 70's, i feel a little bit guilty for not participating with my contribute.

  i am really so sorry for the people that are suffering because of the wts.my story is a " happy ending " story, i married a jw almost 30 years ago and i am here to tell that we are still very happy.

  she is very liberal and our 3 kids are " normal ".

  Making friends in the "truth"

  what is it about making friends in the organisation am i the only one who had found it tough?

  don't get me wrong there was some good people but unfortunately there was also a lot of egotism, back stabbing, jealousy and gossiping.

  i could never really fit in any group, everytime i thought i had found a group it was as if i would be sidelined or ditched.

  Jordandemm: For the most part, there are no good friends in the organization. They are all fake. I found that most were just acquaintances and willing to turn you in the minute you took a misstep.

  Don't feel discouraged, you really don't need a lot of friends in life. Only one or two. I used to think that those social butterflies who were always surrounded by people must have been the happiest people on the face of the earth. But, I've learned through the years, that those very extroverted people were generally the most unhappy.

  this may be old news to some while most won't even know who he is.

  in case you don't know him, he was a jw that defended many of the jw doctrine publicly.

  he did this mainly in the form of two books, jw's defended and three dissertations on the teachings of jw's.

  Almost three months since Crisis of Conscience Cease and Desist

  i am very interested in getting crisis of conscience being fully available as soon as possible.

  march 12th will mark exactly three months since the cease-and-desist letter was written.. i understand that things are slow and that deborah may be sick, but i was just wondering if anyone knew the status.

  i have been asked twice already where the book can be obtained in spanish and i have told people that the book is not available.. there are ways to make ebooks extremely hard to share.

Oh no, you have to be a governing body helper, or a district overseer etc. Have a look at 3:30 if you don't want to listen to the whole thing.
