in my work, i rely upon google for quick answers on definition (denotation), pronunciation (audio), etymology, shades of meaning (connotation), etc.. what i really mean is, do you use an actual unabridged websters, the one you get a hernia lifting?

i ask because, last night, i was tired of fighting with my two ailing computers and decided to pull the big book off the shelf.

it was great, hearkening back to olden times -- childhood -- when i read real books and periodicals and wrote unknown words into a notepad (the paper sort) and pored over old noah's offerings.. your thoughts?.

I haven't used a print dictionary in years. Only online for this girl. My favourite is the Canadian Oxford Dictionary.

I wonder if they will solicit funds in the congregations by setting up contributions boxes directly going to to these RTO's.

I was reading in an European ex jw forum and they were talking about letters designating funds for RTO's.

It's all about the money.

This is so sad. The religion just drives a wedge between families. It's a tragedy! But remember that your mom and dad are also victims of this horrid cult. I wouldn't cut them off completely. But then its up to you and you have to do what is good for you.

It's great technology. We have one of those VR headsets, but I find it too intense and in your face.

it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".

"is he 'in the truth'?".

most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.

The content of this documentary was a feature of the CBC the National tonight. They even showed parts of the Royal commission.

I am really happy that its getting the exposure.

Thanks for the advice zeb! I downloaded it.

I was just skimming it . I am happy to say that Watchtower's little helper Ms Applegate's report was completed put aside (page 77). The woman made a complete ass of herself and certainly didin't help the watchtowers' cause.
