  i have successfully deprogrammed my first dub.. my very good friend has finally seen the light.

  i am so happy that the shackles have come off.

  she is in the process of reading coc and has stopped going to meetings.. i have made my first apostate disciple.. wannaexit

  this is what it reads : .

  apostates may claim to worship jehovah and to believe the bible, but they reject the visible part of his organization......under divine inspiration, the bible writers used strong words to expose the motives and the methods of apostates.. what is it that apostates want?

  SEX talks at the sunday meetings

  the last little while there have been many talks on sex at the sunday meetings.

  it is sickening!

  they are very explicit in nature.. don't they realize that there are many children in the audience that are not really ready to hear this particular information?.

  does anyone on this board have the brochure entitled planned giving to benefit kingdom service worldwide--edition for canada?.

  elders in local congregation are very secretive about this piece of literature.

  i have asked a few times for one without much success.. wannaexit

  they never tell you the source of the quote or the name of the supposed scholar.

  A cult is a cult anyway you look at it

  the mention of the word "cult" may bring to mind jim jones of the people's temple and the mass suicide of over 900 innocent lives or david koresh of the "branch dividian and the massacre of innocent lives in waco.. the watchtower may not be a cult of that extreme calibre, but it is without a doubt a cult.. to those of you that may think that the watchtower is not a cult please consider this quote from the book "seductive poison" ( this is the biography of deborah layton who managed to escape jonestown).

  the quote reads as follows:.

  "when our own thoughts are forbidden, when our questions are not allowed and our doubts are punished, when contacts and friendships outside of the organization are censored, we are being abused for an end that never justifies its means.

  i've noticed a lot of discontent among my jw friends.

  i've had some express to me how stressed out they are because the meetings take up too much time and the assemblies are too long.

  ( a lot of complaining about this international assembly coming up).
