Considered Suicide ?
by Guest 77 inafter reading about the two jw's committing suicide and larc's comments, how many of us have considered suicide?
i saw a movie about a man trying every trick in the book to committ suicide and failed.
it got to the point in the movie that you know his next new attempt would fail.. most likely some people prefer to die without committing suicide.

It went through my mind once when I was VERY low - my whole life had just got too much and I felt that I was too tired to take any more pain......suprisingly it was a month after leaving the borg ! Looking back I am SOOOO glad I didnt, things can get soo bad, more than you can take at times, I dont know why, maybe there is a reason. My life is so much better now and when I am feeling a little low or have problems I look back and think just how bad it all got and it usually makes me feel better !
Everyones comments here are amazing, one stood out and that was Lady Lee - What a woman !!!! hers is another example that things can get so bad that you feel like ending it all, but she held on a fought ! and look at her now !.....thats someone I would be privelaged to know, who can show you that there may seem no light at the end of the tunnel, but keep walking and fighting and you will get there.

First of all it was do field service more and then it was attend more meetings, then when I got taken out by a "friend" on field service - Oh man was I excited a day with my friend............the only catch was it was going to be knocking on doors ! he produces a new form and says "whats the arrangement in your congregation with this ?" I reply "Dont know, have not been out in field service for a while" I get a nasty response "NO, I thought as much!!!"
Then of course it gets worse and finally I get a - you need to change your whole life and your feelings etc etc !

Daughter counselled on dating a wordly guy
by minimus inmy daughter recieved this email from one of her witness "friends".
she is counseling my daughter (indirectly) about her choice to date a "worldly" guy.. hey, so, we had a talk recently that was about love & respect in your marriage.
the brother brought out that this was more for us witnesses rather than worldly people, because it seems that even in the truth now marriage has lost it's correct place.

First of all I thought that this was a little girl that wrote this but then I realised by the fact that she is married this is obviously not the case (although we know what the witnesses are like with kids dont we?!)
I actually feel sorry for the author of the letter, poor girl ! But at least your daughter has got out, another one saved - whoopeeee
My suggestion - go to porn sites and sign the little bitch up for "Lesbian Teen sex in your mail daily" - see how her bethelite hubby likes that one - its a trick I have tried many times

Whats the point, I left the borg, what am I gonna go back for when of their stupid get as many as possible meetings for ? I dont believe it, its all a load of crap, they treated me like s*it so why should I sit through them boring me to tears.................besides I think I am washing my hair !
I will of course partake tommorow evening, I am sure I can have a beer for ol' times sake !

by Hamas inaylestone congreagation leicester ; what a place that was.. we were so starved for laughter we used to laugh at the slightest thing; you remember how witnesses are deprived of true humour so they must negotiate with anything they hear slightly funny ?
that was what it was like for us at aylestone.. it was like sitting in a morgue.
we lost a great elder;- fantastic laugh.

I begrudge the fact that so much of my life was wasted, but on the other hand, it has made me a better person, I know how bad life can get and what things were like for me compared to what I have now. I have more principles about relationships etc and about how you treat people and I guess I look into things more before jumping into it.......but thats all.
