  Define/Describe "Spiritual" please

  Well first of all not arguing with anything the society says then the following:

  Attend every single meeting - even if you are dying and going to give the flu to everyone else, Always go out on field service, answer at every meeting not just a monotonous reading of the paragraph, you have to give a long detailed answer pref quoting scriptures, give your self up for every thing that is offered to you including cleaning the mens loos, study for every meeting, pre study your prestudy and if you have done that, read the watchtower and maybe listen to some kingdom melodies. You shouldnt have much more time for anything else but if you do, maybe apply a bit more study time.

  Does God Overlook WT Doctrine and Examine Hearts?

  another thought provoking issue which begs for a few well thought out replies:.

  we all know about the ever-changing doctrine of the wtbts and the occasional hypocrisy of some of its members, but does not god see beyond these matters and examine the heart of the vast majority of jw's who believe in christ and try to be christians albeit following the faulty leadership of the wt?

  in other words does not the good outweigh the bad?.

  there has been a lot of patriotic talk going on which has caused a lot of arguments, i figured instead of all this badness it would be cool if we could share with each other why we love where we are and what we are part of so much and what causes us to be patriotic.. i love where i live so much so i wanted to share with you all a bit of my life.

  i was raised as a jw from the age of 6. i am now 26 and have two children.

  Welcome Beanie, really good to have you on board.

  I am assuming from your post that you are also in England. I thought also about Criminology, went into the Police, then moved on and am now a Fraud Investigator for a large UK Insurer also studying Law to become a Solicitor. If you want any advice JW related or Career give us a shout, I have loads of police experience and can help with app forms etc.

  What Homepage do you have ?

  ok so you know when you click to open internet explorer and up pops the homepage of your service or whatever you wish to have there.

  i am on ntlworld at the moment but ntl are not very good so just use their cable modem, i decided to use tiscali which was really good but now all of a sudden they have started having pop up adds which is really irritating so i am now shopping for another one.

  any suggestions ?

  How bad did Worldly people treat you when you were a JW?

  i grew up in the society and had the pleasure .

  some worldly people would actually hit jw'w because they did not salute the flag.

  (this in a country that prides itself on freedom of religion).

  I did have some trouble at school but not all that much, I remember then taking the mickey outta me because of it all but there was a lot of witnesses in my year at school.

  Then when I left that was it, people used to ask me about my religion but I was never exactly "Mr Spiritual" so I got on fine. When I left though a lot of my old friends who I worked with expressed how happy they were that I had left and that they were concerned for my welfare in the religion. All my friends that knew me then and know me now and see the changes say that I look so happy and healthy now, they have never seen me like it before, I also lost 6 stone when I left so I look even better.

  i do so because it actually happened in oxford.

  the child of two jehovah's witnesses aged eight was knocked down, severely injured and was bleeding to death.

  Do Dubs believe In Arranged Marriages?

  i recall that they once advocated arranged marriages.

  this would be in the 60's when they were having a phase of dire warnings about the suitability of marriage partners.

  during this phase, many odd ideas surfaced.

  Governments & JW Organization

  do you think that the nation that you live in gives "cults" like the jehovah witnesses to much lean way, just right, or not enough?

  meaning protection from prosecution, tax breaks, freedom to operate, ect; if could make them, would you want any changes?

  Yeah the JW's here in England get good tax benefits as they are registered as a Charity - I think this should be removed and they should adopt the French way of 60% tax.
