Did you ever have a brother who's prayer went on and on and on and on ??

we had one guy in our congregation, everytime he closed with prayer, it went on for 30 minutes or longer, i remember one occasion, i am not kidding 65 minutes, torture 101.. anyone else have this experience.

Yeah we had one, he thought he was annointed and wrote to Tony Blair telling him how to run the government - the elders were so embarrased they took him off pioneering. This guy had a screw loose ! but they got him to do the prayers sometimes and you would hear a sigh before he went up. His prayers were like a public talk !!! they would go on an on and then just when you thought he had finished he would start going into the lords prayer !!!

while having his 11:00 coffee break with the congregation.. till then, the elders would stone wall everytime i would ask for a shepharding call from the c.o.

now, the war is over, the weapons were not used and of course have not been found.. how threatening could they be if they did not even use them when being invaded by a massive force (of the countries they hate)?!

perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.

now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.

there were many stereotypes that proved to be in congregation after congregation.

You know she is coming but dont know when. Usually west indian, will come into the hall about 10 mins after the first song, huddridly rush to the seats at the front of the hall followed by three kids and a bag full of books !

Ray - nah no meaning I just picked it out a book but love it, had it two years now and no regrets. I am getting one on the other arm next month of StGeorge on his horse fighting the dragon, in his righ arm he is holding the sheild with the st georges cross on.

Yours are cool too mate. Like the blood type idea. Theres some really cool tatts on here !

Hair Style in the Org

did you have to make a major change in your hair style, or hair length when you joined the jw's?.

they hinted that i needed a hair cut when i joined.

i guess my hair was a little too long then.

I have short hair and they said in my judicial meeting that I looked gay little did they know but they were the only people to ever say that I look gay...........I dont look gay..........................does my bum look big in this?

Hey Buddy,

Welcome to the board, I am just chatting with your Mum while I type this. The main thing to remember for when you grow up is - whenever a JW comes knocking at your door - HIDE ! and dont grow up as one. I did, am now 24 and probably the best thing I have ever got out of it is making some cool friends on this board - and of course having your mum send me hersheys and coffee !!
