  Melbourne's first ex-jw meet up a success!

  i don't know how everyone else's meetups have been going, but here in melbourne we had our first official meetup on saturday night.. the meetup situation is quite different to meeting people off a discussion board such as this...as you have already formed a friendship or become familiar online...so this was a new experience for me.

  in attendance we had 6 ex-dubs, 3 guys, 3 gals, as well as 2 non-dub partners.

  at the first venue we found it hard to talk and hear each other...so we moved on to a quieter venue where we all shared pizza and drinks and were able to talk across the table with each other.

  the jehovahs witness church took away all my ability to speak normally to, and to interact normally,with girls.

  because of this i have an issue with sex and feel very sorry for myself, believing i have been deprived of a normal, sexually promiscuous, youth.

  this has caused me much pain and suffering,and many sleepless and unhappy lonely nights in my life.

  trying to quit smoking

  i resumed my smoking habit about a year before i left the borg.

  i've been on and off of cigarettes since that time.

  i'm trying to quit (again).

  is it just me, or is it very difficult to be a single ex?

  there are questions boyfriends ask about my family, why i dont have contact with them, and what did i do to gain their utter disfavor?
